Art of the Dog Canine Academy

This is a great company from start to finish! They were so communicative and helpful. We are very pleased with the outcome of sending our 1year old Heeler there for the Board and Train program. We felt like this was definitely a match for us as soon as we saw their "Discipline Equals Freedom" mantra as big fans of Jocko Willink ourselves (we even named our dog Jocko and now he has the manners to match!). Definitely recommend.

We have had our pup back for a few days since sending him to Art of the Dog and we are beyond pleased. Their communication before we had enrolled, while Odin (our pup) was in their care, and since was amazing. We rescued Odin, when he was around 2 years old and had been rehomed at least thrice before we adopted him, and attacked by another dog. He was wonderful at home before we sent him to training but walks were a huge challenge. His prey drive led to us being pulled down, bruised, sore wrists and shoulders, and being embarrassed by his barking and whining at nearly every living thing we saw. He was growing increasingly reactive around dogs and men and it was getting harder for us to leave him alone due to separation anxiety. Art of the dog was amazing about answering all of my anxious dog mom questions about how they worked, potential risks that I feared and more. They gave us resources every step of the way and reached out when any hot spots or issues arose with our sensitive skin Doberman. At graduation we could really see how much they love and cared for our dog and that he really loved them back. Walks have gone from something I dreaded to an event I look forward to and smile the whole time because my dog is walking next to me in perfect heal no matter the stimuli around us. We are beyond pleased and plan to send Odin back for boarding when we go on trips in the future. We spoke to many facilities similar to Art of the Dog and none of them gave us near the peace of mind and long term investment guarantee. I will be talking about this experience for a long time. Thank you Art of the Dog for caring so well for my dog and allowing us and him to have a calmer happier life.

My dog Fang went in as a reactive and easily distracted boy who only listen when he wanted to. Gilda and the team at Art Of The Dog worked hard with him, teaching him how to remain chill and listen to commands. He has only been home for a couple days but we can definitely tell a major difference, he is very attentive and listens all while still having his personality we love so much.
