Art of the Dog Canine Academy

Our 1.5 year old Beau a great experience at AOD Training Academy. As his human, I loved getting daily check ins with video clips of his learning for the day along with behavior & health observations. We also got videos that went along with the lesson so we knew how to support his learning at home. We got the cutest photos with props too! Beau had an amazing trainer, Marcos, who clearly enjoyed working with him. When Marcos took his weekend, there were consistent trainers there as well. I think the consistency really made a difference. At graduation, Beau behaved like a gentleman on his leash-even when squirrels ran in front of him or other dogs trotted by. So very impressive. The crew at Art of the Dog also took excellent care when he had some minor stomach upset & got him comfortable and regular. 3 weeks is a long time to be away from home, but it was worth it! Communication was above and beyond what I expected. Highly recommend!

I could not have done this alone! Reaching out to AOD was the best decision for both Kylo and I. Within hours of getting him back after his graduation, I was more confident taking him out by myself. Kylo was well behaved and responded to everything perfectly. We are both absolutely happy and comfortable. Around May of last year, we took our dog, Dallas, to Art of the Dog for boarding and training while we were out of town for our wedding. Art of the Dog was everything we were looking for in a boarding and training program. Their communication was excellent from the start. They did exactly what they promised when we first inquired—keeping us updated daily on how Dallas was doing and sending pictures, which really helped put my wife at ease while we were away. During his stay, Dallas became a bit homesick and started licking his paws, which caused some irritation. Art of the Dog notified us immediately when they noticed the issue and kept us updated on his condition every day. When we returned to town on a Saturday, they let us know the licking had worsened and explained that it could potentially lead to an infection. Since Dallas had less than a week left, they offered for us to pick him up early, and we agreed that was the best decision to prevent any further issues. When we picked him up, we shared that we still wanted to continue with the training. Due to our complicated schedules, we weren’t able to bring Dallas in every morning and pick him up after work. We discussed this with one of the managers, who suggested that we keep Dallas at home for a few weeks and stay in touch until he was ready to return. After about two weeks, his paws had fully healed, and we dropped Dallas off on a Sunday night so he could finish the remainder of his boarding and training. The flexibility and understanding Art of the Dog showed throughout this entire process made us feel really good about our overall experience. It was well‑spent money. I also can’t say enough about how beneficial the training itself has been. Dallas has been phenomenal with his commands and on walks. The e‑collar provides extra reassurance, but the real difference comes from the work put in by Art of the Dog and our commitment to continuing the training daily at home. Highly recommend.
