Our dog Odin used to make every walk an adventure in the worst way. Lunging at other dogs, barking at seemingly nothing, fence guarding, and just being on high alert 24/7. We felt stuck and honestly a little embarrassed. Boarding and training with Art of the Dog was the best decision we ever made for him. The transformation has been incredible. Odin came home calmer, more focused, and actually enjoyable to walk. The fence guarding has improved dramatically, the lunging is gone, and the random barking fits have settled down so much. But beyond the results, what impressed us most was how clearly the team understood reactive dogs. They didn't just manage the behavior, they addressed the root of it. We also appreciated how well they communicated with us throughout the process, so we knew exactly what to do to continue his progress at home. Reactive dog owners know the guilt and stress that comes with this journey, and Art of the Dog made us feel supported every step of the way. Oh, and the daily photos were the sweetest bonus. Seeing Odin rocking the cutest little hats made the time apart so much easier. We looked forward to every single update. Odin is a happier dog, and we're happier owners. Highly, highly recommend.

AOD saved me !!!! I have never in my years of rescuing dogs thought about getting rid of one. Moose was the one who about made me a rescue failure. He was 6mo old, 50lbs of gangly baby moose and had absolutely no manners, did not listen, counter surfed at every opportunity, bounced from furniture to floor when excited and destroyed EVERYTHING that was laying around .. from shoes, clothing, remote controls, first aid box, brand new 4pk of kleenex boxes . I tried walking him and he took off and pulled me down and drug me across the yard. You get the picture. I have older dogs, very well mannered. I have a doggy door as I work all day. I got to where I was terrified to come home from work not knowing what he got into that day. Bought a metal kennel to keep him 'out of trouble' during the day. In 1 hour he had the kennel so bent the door would no longer close. And you would have thought he was being murdered from the sounds you could hear outside. Friends suggested training, gave me numbers to call and friends of friends who used trainers. That's when Google and I became best friends ! Every suggestion or reference I Googled was not giving me good feelings. And every search I did .. Art of the Dog kept coming up. I read and researched for almost a month and I finally called AOD. Best thing I did for Moose and his mommy !!! From the initial Zoom meeting with Dylan to the texts answering my anxious questions up to Moose's drop off day , they made me comfortable and confident I made the right decision. On his drop off day, I met his trainers and did a tour of where my boy would be for 3 weeks. I received updates and videos almost every day with his progress and what he was learning. After 2 days , I was watching his video for the day, and I text his trainer asking who that dog was because it was not mine !! I did not recognize him. He was calm and listening !! The communication from all the staff there was unbelievable throughout his entire stay. If I had questions, my texts were answered immediately, they would jump on a call if I needed a call and not a text . There are videos to watch on thier website if you are looking for information. They love what they do and are there for you and your dog to set you up for success for a lifetime . Well worth the price . There are not enough stars on Google to give them ! This group of people are stellar human beings and I can't say enough to thank you for saving my Moose and me !!!

We did a 3 week boarding with our dachshunds and are THRILLED with the results. It’s mainly discipline and teaching them basic skills that you will have to keep up after training. The price can be a bit intimidating but they bend over backwards to make it achievable. Overall, would HIGHLY recommend this training program, you get daily updates, great training and videos to look back on to remind you of certain skills.

Art of the Dog completely exceeded every expectation I had for dog training. I enrolled my dog Bowie in their three-week board and train program, and the transformation has been nothing short of incredible. From the very beginning, their communication was clear, professional, and reassuring. It’s never easy leaving your dog with someone else for an extended period, but the team made me feel confident that Bowie was in the best hands. Throughout the program, I received consistent updates, which made a huge difference and showed how much care and attention they give to every dog they work with. Equally important, they didn’t just train Bowie, they trained me as well. The handoff session was thorough and practical, making sure I understood how to maintain and build on everything Bowie learned. That level of support is what separates a good training program from a great one.
