Art of the Dog significantly improved our family’s life and our relationship with our dogs. I’m so thankful that we found AOD and couldn’t be happier with the experience. My 85 pound 6 year old mastiff/pit bull mix was highly reactive on leash, unpredictable, and stubborn. We also have a 52 pound 6 month old beagle/hound mix that we needed help with impulsivity, digging, lurching on walks, and ignoring us to track scents. I researched for months and received estimates from several dog training facilities and individual trainers. Art of the Dog offered everything I was looking for from obedience training, boundary setting, ongoing support, daily updates in boarding, and creating structure that works with our family’s lives for a VERY competitive cost. After three weeks of board and train, our dogs came home with e-collars, elevated beds, video support, and continued check ins. Now, walking around our neighborhood is fun again! My mastiff walks by strangers and other dogs without reacting and giving all of her attention to me, which I never thought I would be able to say. We even receive compliments on how well trained our dogs are and the vet noticed a huge positive change in both of their behaviors. Our dogs also seem happier with a job to do throughout the day. The care, attention, and dedication they pour into their training clearly demonstrate how much they love their work and the dogs in their care.After recently welcoming two German Shepherd puppies into our family, we quickly realized we were not fully equipped to handle two such lovable yet rambunctious pups. In our search for professional help, we found Art of the Dog Canine Academy. Following a few prompt responses and detailed video chats, we knew this was the right team to trust with our new family members.We enrolled them in a three-week board-and-train program. Naturally, I felt incredibly anxious and nervous. I worried about whether the training would work, if our puppies would remember us, or if they would lose their playful personalities. Fortunately, my fears were immediately put to rest. The team provided daily updates filled with hilarious pictures, progress videos detailing the training steps, and regular updates on their weight and feeding habits. When one of our pups, Athena, began chewing at her side due to dry skin or shedding, the staff noticed immediately and took proactive steps to care for her.At graduation, we met with Lauren and CJ. Our puppies were thrilled to see us, and they still maintained all of their wonderful puppy energy. Lauren and CJ patiently walked us through every training command, ensuring we were completely comfortable practicing the steps before we headed home.Our first real-world test was attending our son's baseball game at a crowded park filled with people and other dogs. Our German Shepherds were easily the most calm, well-behaved dogs there, which was an incredible relief.The support did not stop once the program ended. In just the three days since we returned home, the team has already checked in on us twice. Knowing we have lifetime support and access to a full video library gives us immense confidence. Thanks to Art of the Dog Canine Academy, our puppies are home, beautifully trained, and happy. We now have the foundation, tools, and ongoing support needed to guide our dogs through a long, happy life. Thank you to everyone on this wonderful staff!

Honestly had the best experience ever from start to finish! You can truly tell everyone at AOD loves and cares for your fur baby. They answered all our questions and concerns, super commutative throughout the whole process and our pup was so well taken care of. We adopted our pup and he was super reactive to other dogs. We struggled and was afraid to take him out in public. After AOD we can confidently say it has improved the quality of life where we can enjoy it with our pup.
