Art of the Dog Canine Academy

We had a great experience with them! Our trainer was great and kept in constant contact about my pup. When he wasn't feeling well I was notified right away and was able to talk about solutions with them. They are very flexible and also willing to work with you in ALL aspects! They really put his wellness above all which meant the world to me! My dogs behavior has also greatly improved and also has me feeling more confident and able to take him out without behavior issues! I was worried about my relationship with my dog after but I feel like this has brought us even closer as well! They provided both my dog and me with everything we need to succeed. I never felt like my dog wasn't safe here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

After a rather unfortunate accident, we decided to enroll our American Pitbull Terrier, Triffid, in the Art of the Dog Academy for a 3 week course. Hands down, it was the best decision we’ve made regarding our little Tasmanian Devil! Triffid was a reactive bundle of unfocused volatile energy- a proverbial Jekyll and Hyde. Our brilliant trainers, Carson and Jamie, mined a diamond in the rough and taught Triffid obedience and structure. The transformation is nothing short of miraculous. We honestly believe that Triffid is a much happier pup after having gone to “Camp” and learned so much stuff! He is focused and disciplined without having lost an ounce of his personality. We would recommend Art of the Dog to anyone seeking help with training their pup to be their best self! The training is thorough and comprehensive, not to mention the nearly daily updates, photos, and progress reports you receive while your pup is at “Camp”. I’ve never encountered customer service like I have with this company. Can’t speak highly enough of Art of the Dog!

We did the 3 week training with our dog for some leash reaction and a few other problems. The experience was great and Carson, our trainer, was awesome and worked great with our dog. Walking with our dog before this was a nightmare but it was night and day after the 3 weeks. Maple gained a lot of new skills that we are reinforcing at home. I'd recommend this program to anyone who thinks their dog can't change and would recommend Carson to anyone I know. Thanks for helping us out so much!

Want a first-class dog? Invest in first-class training. Even a sleek computer is annoying without the right software. AOD has insights and employs training techniques we’d never considered, and delivered us a serene, disciplined dog we’re way happier with. They’re true professionals. Life is short, and dog’s lives even shorter, sadly. AOD training is the missing link in enriching the experience for mammals on both ends of the leash. Highly recommended!

We had such a great experience with Art of the Dog Canine Training Academy in Longmont! Our sweet, loving chocolate lab, Gus, was there for three weeks, and we are beyond happy with how everything went. Gus is 3 years old and we adopted him 1 month prior to sending him to Art of the Dog. He definitely needed some help with focus and consistency when it came to listening, staying in a crate and walking on a leash. The team (Josh & Jamie) at Art of the Dog worked wonders with him. He came back to us still the same lovable pup, but now with such great manners and responsiveness. We really appreciated how much time they spent not just training Gus, but also making sure we knew how to keep up the progress at home. They were super communicative, by sending us pictures and videos of Gus, daily. Clearly they cared about Gus like he was one of their own.
