Armor K9

Armor K9 did an incredible job with my Shepinois. He stayed with them for almost three weeks and worked with me on when I could pick him up. He did an incredible job on leash with the trainers when I picked him up. He is still the same playful dog at home but obedient on walks and outdoors (and even at a 4th of July parade with tons of people and other animals). I can now confidently carry my baby and walk my dog at the same time without fear that he is going to pull me over or run up to someone. Because I am apart of the family now, Armor K9 will keep their doors open to me whenever I have questions or need a refresher for me or my dog. Highly recommend Armor K9 if you want your dog to still have their personality and obedience.

Lee and the staff at Armor K9 are simply amazing!! I inintiallly contacted Lee to inquire about the board and train program for my 4 month old Belgian Malinois, Kilo, after reading about the program on their website. After a lengthy discussion about the specifics of the program, Lee invited my wife and I to a Saturday morning training session with members of their PSA Club. While there, I was absolutely blown away by the performance of the dogs, the Armor K9 staff and the handlers working their dogs. After spending a beautiful Saturday morning in Prescott, I was convinced by what I'd witnessed that the board and train program was the direction I should go to help build a solid foundation in obedience for my dog. Two weeks after our initial meeting, Kilo was dropped off with Armor K9 without any apprehension or hesitance. I credit this to watching the handlers at Armor K-9 and their initial interactions with Kilo. Immediately he seemed completely comfortable with the love and affection he was getting from them during our exchange. Watching Kilo interact with the Armor K-9 team eliminated any reluctancy that might have otherwise experienced. A little more than two weeks later, my wife and I returned to Prescott to watch Kilo perform the tasks and commands outlined in the program as well as pick him up for his return home. What I witnessed during the pick up process was a mind blowing transformation of a good puppy that had been turned into a great dog! Not only did he perform with the trainers, Kilo also obeyed each command given by my wife or I, on and off leash as expected. Our pick up location was a nicely shaded park, full of would be distractions for Kilo to overcome, including some wandering children and loose dogs. Each part of the training process was explained to us in detail and Lee and his staff took the extra time to answer questions and work on training my wife and I a bit on dog handling fundamentals. Although Kilo had exceeded our expectations, Lee had one more surprise for us to witness and suggested we take a walk around the Prescott Courthouse. After a quick drive from our initial meeting location, we arrived at the Prescott Court House for a walk around and final demonstration. What we didn't know was that the Court House Square area was full of even more potentially distracting stimuli to test Kilo's behavior, in the form of a public speaking event taking place that evening. As we walked the Square area, it was all I could do to mask my emotions and contain my excitement. Not only was I handling my dream dog, he was responding to each command PERFECTLY for a 4 month old puppy. To be fair to Kilo and Armor K-9, Kilo was acting like a perfect citizen!! This above review was written one week after Kilo's return from the board and train program with Armor K-9. The following morning I put Kilo to the test at our local Sprouts supermarket to try his obedience indoors, around unfamiliar people in an unfamiliar place. I can honestly say that his obedience and behavior was even better than our initial re-introduction. So much so that now, one week later, I'm proud to say that I've yet to find a place that is too distracting for him. Daily we take a new test with a trip to Lowes, or Home Depot, Fry's, Sprouts, Arrowhead Mall or a Dollar Tree. ASU West Campus (where he's also tested daily, off leash and the grounds crew watch on with smiles or give a thumbs up from a distance) , and again in the middle of the night at Surrey Park. Every day Kilo out performs or exceeds my expectations and I believe this is due to the training from Armor K-9. In addition, since his return home, I've noticed a change in Kilo's daily behaviors, all being positive. Most of the puppy tendencies seem to have disappeared, which I also credit to the Armor K-9 board and train program. I just can't say enough good things to describe how impressed I was with the entire process and the results. When I sent Ozzy to Lee and his crew I had messed up because I didn't understand the breed my ex-husband left me with. My Malinois was unmanageable and had already fractured my knee cap while I was attempting to get any form of control I could. I was at my wits end. The growling, territorialism, lead pulling, and lack of discipline had me ripping my hair out and my nerves on end. After 2.5 weeks (unfortunately it took longer because I came down with Covid around the pick up date. Lee and his amazing crew were kind enough to keep him for me while I got better) I picked up a completely new dog and new set of tools and skills to both manage and train my baby boy. I came out of our pick up session after being trained myself on how to manage my Ozzy. Our first night home he's completely changed into what I needed him to be all along. I'm tearing up writing this because Armor k9 gave my dog the chance to be with me when I move this month. Something that wasn't even an option last month. Now I speak directly to Lee and his amazing Crew: thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You gave me the tools I didn't know I needed with this breed. You guys are beyond amazing. Ozzy and I will be forever grateful for how you have helped our family.

We used Lee with Armor K9 for our rescue pup - Belgian Malinois and Australian Shepard mix, Ranger. Ranger was about 15 months old, very high energy, reactive, anxious and we were sadly is his 4th home in a relatively short amount of time. Lee worked with us and Ranger in our home and around town for six sessions teaching us the psychology of dogs and giving us the skills and tools to set us and Ranger up for success. Lee is extremely intuitive and does not just use one set of skills for all dogs. He is able to assess and successfully determine what works for the family and the specific dog. Ranger is very smart and quick to learn and he was craving stability and leadership. He is a different dog now, thanks to Lee!

I have worked with Lee for almost a year now. We started with my dog Shadow, who around this time last year, was having some reactivity issues. Lee took time out of his day to teach me something that helped and now I am better able to manage and confront any arising issues. He has taught me more about dog training and different tools. I am so grateful to have learned and continue to learn from Lee. Shadow is now an amazing dog and I have learned so much. Thank you !
