We are excited to announce that we are the first PSA club in Arizona. We will be kicking off our training in the Prescott and San Tan Valley areas in the very near future. In the meantime, what is PSA? "The Mission of the Protection Sports Association (PSA) is to provide an outlet for civilian competition in canine obedience and controlled protection, and to recognize achievement with titles and prizes, and promote competition with club trials and championship tournaments. Worth the money. We have 2 German shepards. Our female is 2 and male is 8 months old. We had made attempts to train them ourselves and even did the Petsmart training (don't waste your money). We had very little success. We commonly bring our dogs out with us in public. Now we can actually walk them side by side, they stay when put in place if we walk away, and they now very rarely bark at dogs or other people anymore. We need to continue to work on this. And I know with the training they had and the training provided to us, we can successfully work the barking out of them. They sit by us when we are out around others and seldom need to hold their leash or correct them. They both hang out with us by our sides.

A very good experience with great results!
It wasn’t easy at first though.
We have a 2-year old female German Shepherd we got at a rescue. Her history was unknown as she had been found stray prior to life at the rescue.
We had her for almost 14 months and during that time, she was becoming more nervous and started behaviors like chasing cars along our fence, barking aggressively at people walking by and basically not responding to commands appropriately.
In our home, she was great. Loving and playful, but outside in our yard or during walks, it was miserable.
We were at a loss.
My wife found the Armor K9 website and we started looking into and seriously considering if this was our next step. Again, it wasn’t easy for us to consider leaving her for training but, we are so very happy we did.
During several phone conversations with Lee, he took the time to thoroughly explain his training methods and was able to alleviate our concerns.
After two weeks of training, Kyia was ready to come home! Yay!
Not so fast… before she was clear to come home, the REAL training began. That’s when Lee spent nearly three and a half hours with my wife and I teaching us how to manage Kyia’s new obedience skills. Her success was dependent on us. We learned so much in that session and we made a pact to each other to follow Lee’s instructions to the letter.
The results…
We now have a far more calm, obedient companion in our lives. It is a night and day difference. Additionally, her confidence has improved. She’ll always be a nervous dog but with the skills she learned from Lee along with the skills WE learned, we can now enjoy walks in our neighborhood. Our walks are actually fun! She is able to walk past barking dogs and horses without reaction. Her leash is always slack too! No pulling! She now shows no interest in cars or people walking by our home.
Absolutely amazing!
Obviously, we highly recommend Lee and his staff at Armor K9. It was one of the best investments I’ve ever made.

Lee was great with our dog, Thor. Thor is one year old and a large breed Rottweiler/mastiff mix. He used to jump up on whoever walked through the door and was constantly knocking over my kids, chewing their toys, nipping at the kids, not to mention the two couches he destroyed. When we decided to move forward with the training, I was pregnant and knew I would have to have a scheduled c-section so I was nervous about Thor jumping up on me with my incision, or being too rough and hurting my newborn. Lee made a night and day difference in his behavior. We picked Thor up 6 days after I delivered my baby and he has been so gentle and loving. He has not jumped up on anyone. The kids are happy he hasn’t ruined any more of their toys! Lee has given so much time and effort in answering all of our questions before, during, and after the training. He is a wealth of knowledge and is quick to respond to any calls or messages. 100% recommend. We couldn’t be happier!

Both Lee and Sonny are knowledgeable and applied. We came for an evaluation prior to putting together protocol and got to see some dogs in their program. These guys are transparent with expectations which I find extremely important.
