Argos Dog Training

Our 12 week old puppy did a four day board and train with Martin while my husband and I were out of town. From our initial consultation to the private lesson we received when we picked our puppy up, Martin put our minds completely at ease, explaining his training philosophy and what he would be working on. Martin also shared extensive notes, tips, and videos of him working with our pup. He is a kind, patient instructor (with dogs and humans). My husband and I feel like we have a strong foundation on which to continue with training, and are looking forward to working with Martin again soon.

I brought my 1 year old Bernese Mountain Dog to Argos for daycare and training. While Luca is the best boy ever he was a stubborn boy who would use his size to decide what he would and wouldn't agree to do. Within 6 weeks he was a different dog in the sense he would now follow direction and simple commands. He also loves going to Argos for daycare and the staff at Argos, especially Jonathan, is truly amazing. It is convenient and affordable and works I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who needs day care and / or training for their dog!!

Jonathan and the Argos Team provided us all the tools we needed and MORE to help us enjoy our dog Kona. Kona is a 1 year old rescue who is reactive on the leash, and has extremely low confidence. We signed up for a 6 week private and 6 week group class. Jonathan trained Kona incredibly well and got her out of her shell, the strides she made in 6 weeks were amazing. However, most importantly, Jonathan provided my girlfriend and I knowledge that will last a lifetime! Although Kona's training with Jonathan has ended, we now have the skills to continue progressing Kona outside of the class room. From basic commands, to understanding the root of our dogs behavior, we feel we have everything down. We could not be more happy with the direction our dog has gone and cannot say enough about the team over at Argos. Martin at Argos was fantastic helping us train an 8-month old rescue German Shepherd mix. Our dog was anxious around people and Martin helped us learn some basic commands that really helped our dog gain confidence and be more comfortable around people. Martin was incredibly observant of our dog (and our) behaviors throughout the training process and gave us extensive, individualized notes of how we could continue to improve in our training. Martin's guidance and feedback also became invaluable for training our other dog that we didn't even bring to the sessions. He helped us understand our communication with our own dog and our ability to guide the training as it progressed. The access to his training videos were also invaluable in learning how to implement the drills and commands. We couldn't have been happier with our 6-session training program, and eagerly look forward to future group classes and individualized training with Martin and Argos in the future.
