I've really enjoyed attending classes with Andy and his team. If you are looking for a hands on approach and have support with your training goals, AMPS is the way to go. We have worked with several other programs and will always recommend AMPS to anyone in need of puppy or adult training. We just finished the Beginner Novice puppy training program. Andy at AMPS was solely responsible for salvaging the relationship with my corgi-heeler mix, Sandie. I got her as a puppy right before covid, and hadn't done any dog training aside from little things with family pets. At about two years old, she was entirely feral - chewing the literal baseboards in my kitchen, scream-barking all day long as I tried to work from home, destroying every toy we brought home. At the recommendation of a neighbor, I signed up for Andy's training class, and he taught me how to "speak dog" to Sandie, and over the course of the subsequent four months, she turned into a totally different dog. Attentive, engaged, happy, relaxed - Andy helped me give her a job, and she was no longer so restless. We've gone on to win a wall full of ribbons, compete in Agility and win medals in regional trials, and most of all - she's the best dog I've ever had. I take her with me everywhere, and people comment about how delightful and well-behaved she is. I've trained three more dogs after her, and they've all come out just as wonderful.
