AMPSK9 - Off Leash Dog Training with No Batteries Required

We used Andy for extensive training when our Newfoundland was a puppy. We were able to work with Andy and our dog to get her to be so well behaved and trained that she passed her test to become a certified therapy animal with the SFSPCA (San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Now Charlie provides so much joy to those less fortunate during her therapy visits. Thank you Andy!!! Highly recommend AMPS

Holy cow. We tell every dog owner we meet about Andy’s class. We didn’t realize how much we didn’t know about dog training until we did his group class. Our Aussie Heeler is now thriving in large part because of the things she and we learned in class. We trust her and she trusts us to a level that didn’t exist prior. We looked in to a bunch of dog training options and talked to many dog trainers. No one was a great fit - more often than not, we felt like our concerns and needs for our girl weren’t listened to, and in some cases, when we asked questions we were told that they’d talk about it more once we paid in full. We talked to 10-12 other companies and private trainers and similar experiences. And then a friend of a friend recommended Andy’s group class. We did a phone consult and finally felt like we’d found a trainer who actually listened to what we were worried about. He listened and let us explain our situation and concerns, asked questions, and the shared with us what some of his concerns were. In total transparency, some of the concerns he had from what we’d told him had not even crossed our minds. He had actually listened, and had the understanding and foresight to point out things we hadn’t yet considered. He didn’t immediately throw us into a class, but had us come do a free in person consult to determine if he was a good fit for our dog, if she was a good fit for him, and what he could do to help. Andy has been a fantastic fit for our dog. If I could leave a 10 star review I absolutely would. What Andy and his class have helped us accomplish is nothing short of miraculous. Not only did he masterfully lead a group class, but also took the time after class and outside of class to help us out with our dogs more specific issues - And helped us understand how to correctly apply what we are learning in class to help with Ike dogs specific behavioral issues. We’re beyond grateful for Andy and his AMPS K9 dog training program. My parents and my sister in law are now taking his beginner obedience class, and we are all looking forward to taking Andy’s hiking class later this summer. We plan to take the additional classes Andy offers beyond beginner obedience, and look forward to taking his training classes with each dog we have down the road. If you’re considering dog training at all - for any reason - give Andy a call. It will be beyond worth your time. He’s been a lifesaver for us, and transformational for our 2 year old doggo. :)
