American Canine Academy Dog Training

ACC is absolutely amazing—hands down the best dog training facility in all of Colorado! Their trainers and staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about both the dogs and their owners. Enrolling my 1-year-old rescue in their 4-week boarding and training program was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for both myself and my dog. The entire process was seamless, and I felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. I would highly recommend ACC to any dog owner looking for top-notch training. We had a really good experience with Milo’s 2-week training program. From the beginning, the team was very supportive and communicative, sending us updates and videos during his stay, which really helped since we missed him so much. When Milo came home, we immediately noticed improvements with commands, structure, place, heel, crate training, and overall behavior inside the house. The trainers took the time to teach us how to continue the training at home and answered all of our questions patiently. What we appreciate the most is that their support did not end after pickup. They have continued helping us with follow-up advice, videos, and offering private lessons whenever needed. It really feels like they care about Milo’s long-term success and not just the training period itself. Milo is still working on reactivity outside around dogs and people, but we understand that consistency and continued practice at home are important, and we appreciate all the guidance they have given us so far. Thank you again to the whole team for all the work, care, and support with Milo!

American Canine Academy has been an incredible team of dedicated humans that have changed our lives, our pups life, and perspectives on training. Our dog and bike reactive pup Rio attended a 4 week board-and-train program with them and not only did he clearly learn and grow a ton, we also have access to training for life with Rio (and if I am being honest, to train us!). Since Rio came home, we have already gone for two lessons where we focused on thing we (as humans) were struggling with and had our techniques coached. I have also called the office a few times and received coaching tips over the phone. I love that this program is not just to train the dog but also to train us and they are so accessible! We worried that if we sent him to a camp with professional trainers, that after we brought him home, he would be straight back to his ways, but the access to the trainers both during the pick-up day training session, phone calls, texts, emails, subsequent training sessions give us the tools to have continued success with Rio when he is home with us. We couldn't be more thankful for this incredible team and look forward to continuing with them in the future.

There isn’t a better dog training team in the state of Colorado than everyone at ACA. Having a reactive GSD has been the challenge of a lifetime and in their 6 week board and train I can see a different dog who is confident and comfortable out in the world. He will be able to have a safe, secure, and confident life because of the tremendous work of the handlers and trainings at ACA. If you have the opportunity to work with them, don’t pass it up, especially if you dog is struggling as these people are your best resource to get your dogs life back on track. They have also taken amazing care of my boy over that time and even got to board my other GSD and integrated their reunion into their training program. True pros within this field and I won’t trust anyone else with my boys.

Picked up my beautiful puppy yesterday from the academy. I spent 2 hours one-on-one with a trainer helping me adjust to our new lifestyle of obedience. The session was fantastic. I've been home for one day and I'm so excited about the baseline that has been given to me and my dog. I got constant updates and photos and videos of my dog's progress during the her two week stay at the academy. I met the owner and all of the trainers and everybody was very attentive friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I cannot recommend the American canine academy enough. I look forward to future contact with the facility as my puppy grows.
