We can’t say enough great things about Alpha Dog K9 Training. Janine and Nick are the epitome of patience and professionalism who at the end of just 7 weeks had our 5 month old puppy walking down the aisles of a Home Depot store undistracted, happy, confident and attentive to all commands. Janine and Nick are absolutely wonderful and gifted dog trainers. Within our first session we saw a difference in our dog Tony’s behavior. He began sitting right away with a little tug on his leash and stopped pulling us on walks, instead walking alongside us. By the third session he had stopped barking at the doorbell and going crazy any time someone walked in the front door.
The most impressive parts were the focus on impulse training. Tony is now trained to wait for his command to eat dinner, or to greet someone. He is a completely different dog, not having accidents inside the house and looking to us for guidance before jumping at whatever excites him.
If you are looking for professionals that truly feel passionate about animals, giving them structure, and setting them up for success, Janine and Nick are your people. I was blown away by how they were able to instill such discipline into Tony and us, while being kind and gentle with our little guy. It’s clear how much they love dogs and their work is really advocacy for dogs. A well trained dog is far less likely to end up in a shelter, and, for this I have tremendous admiration and respect for them. 10/10 I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

When I was doing my Google search looking for a Dog Trainer I made many phone calls to different companies so that I could find the right fit. My dog had food aggression with other dogs and other companies wanted me to rehome my dog, but thankfully I came across Alpha Dog K9 training and I finally didn’t feel so hopeless. They came to my home and helped us work out all of the unwanted behaviors that my dog presented with and showed us techniques to curb the aggression. Not once was negative reinforcement used, and not once did I feel uncomfortable or that I was hurting my dog. In just 5 weeks, my dog is no longer aggressive. I highly recommend Alpha Dog K9 to anybody. Don’t lose hope, Alpha K9 has it covered.

Since working with them, my dog Oliver has improved so much—his walking is so much better, and his behavior has come a long way. Their expertise, patience, and personalized training approach made all the difference. We feel so much more confident as an owner, and Oliver is happier and more well-behaved. Simply the best !!! Nick and Janine are miracle workers. Our two big boy labs Jaxx and Charlie went from out of control to well behaved and we couldn’t be happier.
