A few years back, we had a poor experience with a local trainer. Despite being reputable, their methods and results were questionable at best. After taking to the internet to talk about our experience, we received an unsolicited note from All Purpose K9 requesting a bit more information. Following a brief discussion with both Paige and Jordan, we agreed to embark on another training journey which involved not only them working with our pup, but us as well. I would argue we were more of a challenge than our pup! Post training sessions, we had an obedient, attentive dog and somewhat obedient owners. We understood leash work, E Collar usage and reinforcement drills. Unfortunately, none of these methods worked on the spouse… A few years later we found ourselves in a rescue situation with another GSD needing a home. Paige was our first call for both a behavioral assessment and training plan. A few weeks later, a happy, well trained pup was delivered to our house. All Purpose K9 assisted with the introduction and integration and continued to drop by the house for both human and pup reinforcement. Last year, one of the foolish people in our house volunteered at an animal shelter. We all know where this is going. We found another GSD in need of help and enlisted the help of Paige and Jordan once again. Not only did they move their schedule around to accommodate an assessment, but they took in our newest edition despite no forewarning. We made a few treks to their facility to observe, train and work with the newest shedder, and were always greeted by a happy, obedient dog who simply wanted belly rubs. Once again, they worked with us post training and helped with integration into our growing clan. Paige and Jordan occasionally drop by the house for reinforcement drills and all three (3) of the GSD’s are thrilled to see them! As such, they have earned our boarding business as well. Long overdue review for a relationship spanning 6+ years, three (3) low brain cell GSD’s, and two (2) knuckleheaded spouses. On behalf of Miley, Potato and 8 Ball, thank you!

We have not been impressed with our experience here. Firstly, in the four weeks our puppy was at board and train, we received ONE call with an update, which was during his first week. I only received a second call (4 minutes long) from Jordan after I texted asking for an update. We received no photos, videos, or information on the progress our pup was making. Upon return home, we were shocked to find that our puppy didn’t actually learn any commands. He only responds to them when the e-collar is on. This was not what we expected, since our other two dogs did a different board and train and both came back with a complete understanding of simple commands! We reached out for additional help and recommendations once we realized our pup wasn’t where we expected him to be training-wise, but didn’t get much help. We wouldn’t recommend this program if you’re looking for a positive-reinforcement based training program. We’ve learned the hard way, and now we feel like we are back at square one with our dog.

Highly recommend, whether it be for boarding or training needs. When it comes to boarding, they are one of the few facilities in Columbus that will work with non-neutered pets. As someone who owns a non-neutered Doberman, this was a huge differentiator for me. In general, the staff are experienced handlers and are clear communicators. My dog is always received with excitement by the staff whenever I drop him off for boarding. Whenever I pick my dog up from boarding, I can tell from his overall demeanor that he was well taken care of during his boarding. In addition to occasional boarding, I also invested in their introductory obedience training program. While it was a considerable financial and time investment, you get what you pay for, and the results are undeniable. This program delivered total obedience across all basic commands. Committing to this program has drastically increased my quality of life and along with my dog’s quality of life. I can now take my dog on runs and out to social events anxiety-free, because I know I have full control of my dog.
