All Dawgs

I've been taking Lincoln to the All Dawgs Apprentice training class and he's learning sooo much. But, more importantly, so am I. Diane and LuAnn are great instructors. They teach the practical skills, explain the logic behind them (this is really important to me), and give great real-life examples. They also keep things moving along at a good pace and manage the room of dogs (and their owners) like real pros. We're already signed up for Who's Walking Who, the follow-up Masters class, and some one-on-one training to help him get over his nail trimming phobia. E-collar Recall is coming. And I have visions for Lincoln bobbing and weaving his way through an agility course as soon as he's ready!

My dog has been going to All Dawgs Daycare twice a week for over 9 months. Harper gets to play with other dogs her size while learning how to interact appropriately. She loves going to Daycare. The people there are great. We love getting the daily report cards to see who she played with and how she interacted with her pack. We’ve also done training through All Dawgs. We worked on skills needed in order for Harper to be a well behaved dog in public.

We’ve been taking classes for nearly 2 yrs and contracted with them to train a dog to be a psychiatric service dog. The, mostly female, staff has help me transform my rescue dog into my service dog. I’ve learned so much from the trainers and am so appreciative. The staff have high expectations of humans and dogs, providing corrections, praise or encouragement as needed. There is a atmosphere of support and community. I would recommend All Dawgs classes to anyone looking to improve their ability to communicate with their dog. I would also recommend them for folks looking to train with their dog for agility competition, Therapy dog certification or service dog status. There are a wide variety of classes for all levels, from novice to master, just for fun to competitive or professional. The property where they lease space isn’t ideal, but they make the best of it. It’s functional, if it’s not fashionable. They are raising money for a better facility. The poster on the wall depicts a training facility with a pool! The old saying about not judging books by their cover applies to the building. The people and experience are superior to the façade. I suspect a fancier building would have made classes too expensive for me. Speaking of price, I think the cost is well worth the training you get. A 6 wk class costs the same as 6 wks of group swim lessons at the YMCA. I was unaware what classes typically cost prior to researching service dog training and consider the prices at All Dawgs more than fair and reasonable. They also have Day care and boarding school, but we’ve not used those yet. The boarding school is like boot camp for dogs.
