All Around K9 Training

Working with Gary and Jason has been a blast! Our working line German Shepherd was suffering from a lot of anxiety and uncontrolled energy. We tried with different trainers and none of them seemed to be making a difference. Gary did an evaluation at our home and scheduled some barding training for her. She just finished her 3 weeks training and she is a completely different dog. The entire experience was excellent from beginning to end. We loved the regular updates from Jason and the progress Micka was having. We know how to better manage her energy. We are now sending our 2nd German shepherd for boarding classes as well. Can't wait to see the results with our other dogs.

5 Stars – Highly Recommend All Around K9 Training! All Around K9 Training came highly recommended by a friend, and I’m so glad I followed through. I started the process with Tara, who was incredibly informative and kind. She explained everything in detail and made it so easy for me to get started, which I really appreciated as a first-time dog owner. I brought in my 4-month-old Springer Spaniel, Theo our first dog for both me and my daughter and we wanted to make sure we raised him right. Before training, Theo was constantly biting, jumping on everyone, and destroying things around the house. We were overwhelmed and knew we needed help. Jason was Theo’s trainer, and he was amazing! He was professional, friendly, and made both me and my daughter feel comfortable and involved throughout the process. Gary, the owner, was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell they both genuinely care about the dogs and families they work with. When we picked Theo up, we had a one-hour session with both Gary and Jason to go over everything—and let me just say, Theo came back a changed dog! He no longer bites, knows how to sit, lay down, and stay. He waits for a command before entering or exiting doors and walks perfectly on a leash. The training was absolutely worth it. Not only did Jason do an incredible job with Theo, but the lessons he and Gary gave me and my daughter were so helpful. They were patient, kind, and excellent teachers—especially with my daughter, which meant a lot. If you’re considering training, don’t hesitate. All Around K9 Training truly goes above and beyond!

Best decision we ever made! Both Gary and Jason made us feel like he was in the best hands - we got the sweetest pictures and detailed updates throughout his two week stay and it made us feel at peace. Not only did Norbi come back so much more well-behaved, his confidence also grew so much! He is a dream to walk now and we love going out with him together and we can’t wait to travel with him. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Cinder, our 5 months old Pom, just came home from two weeks of Board and Train from All Around K9 Training today. We are absolutely amazed by the progress he has made! As my husband says, he was a skeptic, but he has been made a believer. Cinder came to us as a puppy who refused to even take one step on pavement and only sat on towel/soft surfaces, to a confident dog who walks beautifully on a leash, has door manner, runs through hanging bridge on obstacle courses, and has stayed "placed" calmly for the last 30 min on a tiny stool while we watch TV. We cannot thank Gary and his team enough! Clay did a wonderful job with all the lessons with us. All the team members were always patient with our questions and any requests for updates and photos. Now two of our friends are considering the same training for their dogs after seeing Cinder's progress. We are convinced All Around K9 Training is the best dog training in SA!!

Amazing experience with AAK9 training! They came highly recommended from my groomer, and from the moment I spoke to Gary about our troubles with our 9 month old shepherd, he put my mind at ease and assured me of ways in which they could help. We did the board and train option, and although we missed our baby achingly every day for three weeks, we truly hoped it was the right decision. Nardo worked with their lead trainer Jason every day on multiple things ; his confidence, his leash responsiveness, his obedience, his separation anxiety, his anxiety in new enviorments, and his general manners (he was too boisterous 101% of the time). During our weekly lessons with Jason and Nardo we got to see firsthand how our sweet Nardo was trained! Seeing Jason have so much patience and care with him in every lesson gave our hearts much needed peace, hope and faith that it would be worth it! And wow, IT WAS! He is back home now and so much more confident and calm! No more pulling on our walks! I can actually take him to stores now! Today I walked right across a construction site (which would have been chaos before) and Nardo walked past the site cool as a cucumber. We continue to apply the lessons we were taught, of course, and it definitely a bit of work and getting used to, but having a best friend who is happy and confident and whom you can go everywhere with is priceless! I expect we will be using their board and refresh option in the future, since Nardo is still a puppy with more growing and maturing to do, but knowing and seeing how much they genuinely love dogs makes the decision easy! Thank you SO SO much, Jason and Gary and the whole team for all you did for Nardo and us! Thank you for showing us more structure, and giving our baby lots of love and confidence in the process as well!
