Akela K9 Services

I just wanted to thank Natalie, Scott, and Shelby for all their help with my dogs! They gave me some great obedience feedback in areas I’ve been struggling with for a while now. Based on their feedback, I was able to make some changes that will benefit both me and my dogs in the long run. They’re all so welcoming, and their facility is very nice and clean. We started boarding our dog Highland with Akela about 2 years ago after our former trainer had to transition his business. Although Highland had previously been through a 2 week board and train along with follow up training, he was still fearful and timid especially in the city environment. After just a few stays with Scott and his team, Highland was a whole new dog! He became open and friendly to every dog he meet, his reactivity outside was completely gone and he was so much more confident. Highland loved Scott and the team and was always so excited to see them when we would drop him off. Unfortunately we ended up moving out of the state but we will be forever grateful to Akela for the care they provided and the exposure Highland got during his stays with them. We now have a calm, confident dog who walks off leash on a daily basis and obeys (almost) every command. We miss Akela!

Shelby and Scott are amazing! In just a few days, they turned my fur baby into a model of good canine behavior. They helped me to understand why she had been acting as she was, and what was needed to change it. Looking forward to continuing her training with their in-home visits. Also, their facility is beautifully maintained and very clean. It was cool to watch the working dog sessions in training field. Highly recommend Akela K9 for training and boarding!
