Aft Dog Training

AFT turned our lives around! We did private sessions for Ellie our hound mix who struggled with leash aggression, fear of people, especially tiny ones, limited listening skills and poor communication skills with other dogs. Not to mention the fact that she ran our house. We learned how to be better owners for her and She learned how to calm down and realize that everything happening around her isn’t necessarily her business. She still has work to do, but we can now actually have people over or take her on outings without the embarrassment of our dog flipping out or fear of her becoming aggressive. Additionally our new rescue Marshall came with his own pile of challenges mostly stemming from a lack of knowing how to be a dog 😂. We were able to do group classes and some boarding with him and his is becoming an awesome dog. We are so lucky to have them as a resource for us as they continue to learn! Zaiah, Karen, Anthony and the whole team are people we would recommend to anyone in need of pet training!!

I am almost at a lost for words for how happy I am with AFT dog training. We have 3 dogs all with issues of resource guarding, fighting, fear aggression, severe leash pulling..and so much more. We left them with Anthony and his team for a 2 week board and train. I was fearful my one dog would attack Anthony’s dog, but I was thrilled to see her in a video running and playing with his dogs. Before the training I had terrible anxiety because two of my dogs got into a bad fight and I could not stop my one dog. Since the fight I would not put them together. Whenever they came near each other my anxiety would get so bad. Today we brought the dogs home and they are all In The same room. All laying down nicely in a place. I feel extremely calm and good about everything. Anthony gave us the tools we need to keep the dogs in a good state of mind. I would highly recommend AFT dog training. You can just tell how much Anthony and everyone love dogs. They really put their heart and soul into what they do. They are true animal lovers.

I am so grateful to AFT for all that they did to help my dog Daisy be the best dog that she can be. Daisy had some aggression and was attacking me frequently. Another trainer that we started out with not only downplayed the entire behavior and made me feel like it was an overreaction, but I believe they also contributed to it. We were very close to giving up, for fear that Daisy would really hurt somebody. But I was so upset with the idea of sending her back to the rescue, as now she would be labeled as an "aggressive dog", making it that much harder for her to find a new home. We gave Daisy one last opportunity and sent her for a board & train program at AFT. I'm so thankful that we did. When we picked her up from her program, we were taught how to continue her training at home. Not only did they do an incredible job training Daisy, but we are so thankful for all that they taught us on the importance of a healthy relationship between dog & humans. Daisy is a great member of our family now and we owe it all to AFT and the unbelievably caring & passionate staff there. I would recommend them a million times over.

I adopted Jake, a 3 yo PitMix from The Center for Health and Welfare of Animals in Easton where I live. I was given AFT’s card for training if he needed it. He was big and solid and adorable but a nightmare to walk. He was so distracted by everything around him he pulled all over the place. He wouldn’t come to me if I was 3 feet away from him. 1 year later, everything I tried to do training wise was not working. He made several bad choices. I decided if he was gonna be a great dog, WE needed help. I asked the Williams Township Facebook page for recommendations and 9/10 said AFT. So I went to see them. Right off the bat Anthony was able to see what was going on. 1 week later I dropped him off for board and train and didn’t look back. 4 weeks later Jake is awesome. He has calmed down and is not so reactive to everything. We walk around the neighborhood with not problem. They used different tools to train for different things. The K-9lifeline leash is the best. He actually loves to walk with it on. He can also walk off leash and stay right next to me. It’s amazing. Jake has learned to be calm and look to me for leadership. And I learned how to lead him. AFT really cares about the well being of the dogs they train. One you train with them you become part of the community forever. If you have any issues with your dog this is the place to go.
