Our experience was great with the people at the advanced canine development. Mark the owner was careful to instruct us and what we should look for in the goals that he had for our little dog peanut. We can’t say enough about Lindsay, her trainer, which kept in touch with us every day, and even came to our house after the two weeks we’re up for additional support. We would highly recommend their services for anyone who has behavioral problems with their dogs.

The entire staff was great to work with and kept us posted on our puppy Kody’s and Murphy’s progress continually throughout his training!! Ali was the main trainer for Kody and Emily was training Murphy both were absolutely excellent !!! It was obvious how much They not only enjoyed their work but how much they truly care for the dogs. We just completed a 2-week board and train with our Golden Retriever Goose (2.5 yrs) and Mini Aussie Noaa (4 months), and we couldn't be happier. Hayley was our primary trainer and was absolutely amazing, huge thanks also to Emily, Lindsey, Ali, and Mark for the care they put in as well. My biggest goal was having dogs I could confidently bring to the office - good canine citizens who could hold a place, stay in their crate, and not be a distraction. Goose's enthusiasm for meeting *everyone* made that a challenge, and Noaa being a puppy added another layer. Advanced Canine Development delivered on exactly what I asked for. Goose is noticeably dialed back in the best way, and Noaa (who absolutely loves to work) got a fantastic foundation as well. I always felt my dogs were well cared for and safe, and the constant stream of photos and videos throughout the process was a huge plus with how much I missed them. We're already planning to come back for off-leash training when Noaa is older, and we'll be regulars at the weekend pack walks and board & maintain when traveling going forward. Highly recommend!

I am so proud to share my story of meeting Mark and Ali. I lost my beloved Oliver, my best friend two years ago after 16 years together! A month ago I was ready to adopt another Shelter Dog. I went to Suncoast Humane Society, they handed me an IPad and say look at the Picture and tell me the ones you want to meet and we will bring them out. There was this dog named Doug, he came to the Pen and laid on my feet and looked at me like please take me home! Guess what I did, no questions asked. Turns out he was a 10 month old Lab Mix, we were best buds!! But wait, he’s a 10 month old Lab puppy mix. And he was very glad to have a home. I reached out to Mark’s organization, and said I need help, and the invite us to come, and I met Mark and Ali on the visit. And no pressure, just passion from both of them on where I was with my new puppy and where I could be with my baby for a lifetime. I left Dunlop there that night for 2 weeks, so much inclusion on his training, so many scheduled walks to train us two legged’s. I will never forget the first thing they told me “ We play with dogs, we train humans” and it’s so true. Ok my story is getting long but I am now the proud papa of a 10 month old lab puppy, is he perfect, no, am I perfect no, but I promise you even after his training Mark and Ali communicate with me daily. These people really care!! I am a Tennis Pro/ Coach for my entire life, and I thought I was a great coach, these folks are GREAT COACHES!!! We had a wonderful experience with Advanced Canine Development (ACD) during Moki’s 2+ week board and train. Moki is my 3‑year‑old Australian Shepherd and had started showing some reactivity on walks, along with impulse control and separation anxiety challenges. ACD helped me better understand his body language and taught me how to communicate with him so we can calmly and confidently walk past triggers. Hayley, our primary trainer, was absolutely fantastic. She worked with Moki on setting boundaries, down stays, reliable recall, impulse control, and overall calm behavior. I also really appreciated that although we had a main trainer, Moki was handled by multiple trainers — Emily, Lyndsey, Ali, and of course Mark — which helped ensure his training generalized well. The daily pictures and videos were a huge plus. Being able to see what they were working on each day and how they communicated their training through the updates made the entire process transparent and reassuring. They were always responsive when I had questions, and I was truly impressed by how much real‑world training Moki received in a variety of environments. I also really value the continued support even after he came home. Because of how confident I am in ACD and their trainers, I’ve now enrolled my 4‑month‑old Mini Aussie for puppy socialization. I wouldn’t have done that if I wasn’t completely confident in ACD and their team. Highly recommend!
