I cannot say enough good about Mark and his team at Advanced Canine Development. At our initial consultation, I gave Mark my "dream list" of all the things I wanted. Let's just say my expectations were exceedingly high. Off-leash reliability was high on my list, and having a unique lifestyle where I move throughout the year, I needed Tucker to be able to adapt and listen in multiple environments. In addition, I wanted to be hands-on with the training. Mark was honest and open about what it would take to get the results I was looking for. He was willing to put in the work if I was. I purchased 12 one-on-one sessions, and for the next three months we went weekly. Tucker had a blast—he loved going to "school." He would get all excited when we took the exit off the highway. I learned so much through this experience. When they say, "where we teach people and play with dogs," that is 100% true. They were patient with me (because sometimes I'm not the best student), gave in-depth explanations and foundational information that really made things click for me. Their tailoring to the different needs of all their clients was impressive to see firsthand. Not just a one-trick pony. It's been 60 days since our last session, and I am beyond thrilled with the decision to work with Advanced Canine. Probably some of the best money I have spent on Tucker. I love that I can confidently take him with me wherever I go. Tucker and I are enjoying the journey of learning how to communicate and work together. Mark and his team truly understood what I needed and delivered beyond my expectations. They are definitely to thank for putting the fun into this for me. The consistent reminder that "this should be fun" wasn't on my wishlist, but it has been one of the most beneficial things to come out of this. Highly recommend Advanced Canine Development!

The staff was amazing. Ozzy came out better than we expected considering he was there only 2 weeks. We are extremely happy. We appreciate Mark's input and concern for my wife that we never experience what we endured from her accident. All of the trainers were great but ozzy's primary trainer Lindsay was fantastic. She was very thorough with my wife and myself. We were probably more difficult. I would recommend her highly. And if I was Mark I would give her a big raise. ACD is the place to go if you want a well trained dog

I've got a two year old golden retriever that's got a mind of his own. Needless to say, he's a very "unique" - a good dog, but not a great dog. Endless energy, separation anxiety, selective hearing, poor manners and low confidence - a perfect recipe for a dog to not know what to do with himself. So I looked into ACD, and as any good dog parent should be, I was a little nervous about leaving my dog with someone, so I called and spoke with Mark. He was great. He answered all my questions, made me feel comfortable, asked what I was looking in regards to training and explained the process and methods they use. There we're still some things I was interested in seeing and talking about so I scheduled a visit and consultation at their facility. Here were some of my concerns: The Facility: The whole place was clean and much larger than I expected. They have a large indoor area where the dogs stay, an outdoor kennel area for outdoor time and a huge field (all fenced in with shaded areas and fans to keep it comfortable). It wasn't located on a busy road and was adjacent to a nice neighborhood. Fear #1 was squashed, right when I got there. The Trainers: Mark has been training dogs for a long time and you can tell by both the results and methodology, but he also employees a pretty large staff of trainers. I was assigned (or she chose us) with Hayley and I can't say enough good things about her. She worked with Ranger every day and his transformation was incredible. She sent me photos and videos all throughout the day of what they were doing, what they were working on and how he was improving. They only train a certain number of dogs at a time. It's not like a factory training facility - they only have enough dogs that they can adequately train and give enough attention to. But as a pet owner, you're not off the hook yet.. Parent Involvement: It's extremely important to be a part of the training, knowing that I also needed to be trained. My mother dog sits when I go to work, and I wanted to make sure that she was involved in the training as well. Hayley had no problem with that and in fact encouraged it. She went out of her way to help both me and my mother learn along side with Ranger. For the weekend walks, they would provide her a trained dog to walk with so that she could get the hang of it and made sure that both of us were heading down the right path for the future. I couldn't thank them enough for this. Make sure to take advantage of all the chances to come work and learn with your dog, it will help you greatly. Results: Is my dog perfect? No way, but is he 100 times better than he was? Absolutely. Leash pulling? gone. Anxiety? I give him a B+, but he's getting better every day. Listening? Also a B+, but that's coming from an F- prior to training. He goes to his place when he's told and stays in his be until I tell him he can leave. Energy? Oh, he's definitely still got it, but now he knows when he's allowed to use it. No more jumping over the couch, no more trying to sprint out the front door, no more dragging my mom around on the leash like he's a sled dog. Amen to that. I've tried other trainers prior to ACD and nothing seemed to work the way I liked. ACD was a last resort for me and it should've been my first choice. I could've saved myself a lot of time, money, aggravation and stolen socks, If I had found them earlier. I will absolutely be bringing all of my future puppies there. I now have the confidence to take my dog anywhere, which is huge. The last thing I want to talk about is the process (as a dog parent) in my opinion. For me, this wasn't a "drop your dog off for a few weeks and come back to pick up a perfectly trained dog" kind of process. As a parent, you need to be involved. Coming during the week and doing the weekend farmer's markets are what made the training "stick." The weekend walks are a great way to get outside and meet all the other people who are looking for a better life for them and their dog - highly recommend. 10/10 would recommend Advanced Canin Development.

Thought at first the price was high. Boy was I wrong! After seeing how many trainers they had, how well they knew their work, how happy the dogs were, and how well cared for, I knew I was actually getting a bargain. Their motto "we play with dogs, we train people" is tospot on. After getting both of us trained, I found my buddy so much easier to deal with at home. And we are not just dropped once the 2 week boarding and training is over. They follow up, they ask how you're doing, offer to answer any questions you have. So reassuring! And I mustn't forget the techs...they have a hard job too and I am very grateful for everything everyone does to take care of the animals and take care of the owners. Y'all are a blessing! This is a great place to have you and your dog trained. All the trainers Lindsay, Ali, Haley, and Emily treat you like family. They not only train your dog, but train you to continue the training when you get your dog home. Everything was explained as to why certain things were important to continue doing when you get your pet home. MARK also does a great job of explaining why certain things are done. You could tell they all really cared about you and your dog.Thanks to all of you.
