Activate Canine Dog Training

Highly, highly recommend these lovely trainers! My dog went for 4 weeks and came back a new man. He learned to listen, stay in his place, heel, walk on a loose leash and overall is a much better behaved guy. This is one of the most affordable board and train facilities and I would not take my dogs anywhere else. They even come to your house for follow up lessons and keep in touch for support. 10/10 recommend!!!

We got Vander as a rescue 2 months ago. We found out shortly after bringing him home that he had an aggression (or fierce curiosity) for cats. We were also frustrated with him jumping on us and leash pulling. After reaching out and speaking with Alicia, we had hopeful optimism that she could help. Within a few weeks under her guidance, tah dah!!! Vander will now allow our cat to rub and sniff him and he gets better ever day! The sit, place and heel commands are also fantastic tools for us to use with him...no more leash pulling or jumping on us!! Alicia also kept us updated and sent pictures and videos of his progress. We can't thank Alicia and her team enough for helping Vander fit into our family!!

We have had our dog for over a year. In that time we had already had him with one trainer for 2 months, once a week. That trainer referred us to a behaviorists- which after seeing out dog- agreed with the vet, that he should be medicated. We did not want to follow that path, so kept researching until we found Activate Training's website and read the reviews. This seemed like an alternative and so we made the call. Alicia made me feel, at ease with sending out Dakota away for a month. She came picked up Dakota and communicated with us throughout the training with videos and pictures. She kept us posted on progress and has followed back up with us in person twice now, to make sure we are staying on track. We would have never thought that our Dog- who everyone else, said needed to be medicated and could not be trained- would be as wonderful as he is now. He is outstanding at Off Leash, following verbal commands and allowing us and himself to enjoy our hikes on trails, woods or wherever we go. We recently took him across country and was perfect in the Hotels- either in the room, the elevators or lobbies. He now goes with us wherever they allow dogs and is always complemented when we are in stores or around others- on how perfect he is. I can't give Alicia enough stars and thank her enough for giving us the Dakota that we have now and will enjoy for many years to come.

I have owned labs my entire life and have never sent one off for training. So my six month old chocolate lab (Drake) was the first. I was nervous sending him away for 3 weeks knowing I wouldn't be able see to him. Alicia put my nervous to rest right away. She would send me pictures and updates all the time. This made the 3 weeks go by so fast. When it was time for Drake to come home, Alicia sat down with me and explained in detail what he learned and how to continue working with him before I got to see him. When she brought Drake in he was a different dog, listening to every command she gave him. This was a wonderful experience and would recommend Alicia to anyone looking to have a dog trained.
