We had such a wonderful experience with A.H. Dog Training! Our two-year-old Golden Retriever was completely ball and rock obsessed, and we were struggling to get her to focus and have her act appropriately around guests. From the very beginning, Aimee was incredibly patient and encouraging. What we also liked about Aimee was that her approach is not militant or about breaking a dog’s spirit, but instead, she used positive reinforcement to train our dog. Aimee gave us thoughtful techniques and practical strategies that we could actually use in everyday situations, and we saw a real difference in our dog’s behavior. I also loved that she recapped each training session with written instructions and videos, which made it so much easier to remember and practice the techniques between sessions. She also educated us about the importance of a dog’s diet, which I really appreciated learning about! Aimee truly understands dogs and their personalities, and she made the entire process positive and enjoyable for both us and our dog. We’re so grateful for her help and would highly recommend A.H. Dog Training to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and kind trainer!

Aimee is incredible! My daughter and I chose her because her humane, reward-based approach was important to us. She began working with Noah at six months old, teaching him puppy basics and more, taking him far beyond our expectations. She is highly skilled, knowledgeable, and remarkably effective. Noah adored her and learned so much—and so did we! In fact, the confidence Aimee gave us helped us feel ready to adopt a second rescue dog. We will absolutely be calling her again and couldn’t recommend her more highly!

We had the BEST experience with Aimee! Our Shetland sheepdog puppy, Ruby, is very nervous around other dogs, so we signed up for the 6-week training package. We honestly can’t say enough good things about Aimee and how much she helped Ruby. We had taught Ruby some of the basic commands, but were having trouble reinforcing them. Aimee helped with sit and stay, as well as not jumping on strangers and handling, since Ruby hates being picked up or having her head touched. Aimee was incredibly patient and made training a fun experience for everyone. She also gave us great guidance on curbing Ruby’s puppy biting and gave recommendations what food and treats were best for her. Ruby especially LOVED “the lady with the treats” who came to our house every Sunday. I also wanted to note that if you’re a client of Aimee’s she does doggie socials every week. We only went to 3 because Ruby was so afraid of the other dogs, but Aimee was very patient and accommodated Ruby in a play pen away from the other dogs so she could observe them but not be in the middle of the action. She never forced Ruby into situations she wasn’t ready for and really took the time to help her come out of her shell.We’ve seen such a huge difference in Ruby in just 6 weeks and, we HIGHLY recommend Aimee. She truly cares about the dogs she works with, and we’re so grateful we found her!
