4 On the Floor Dog Training & Behavior Consulting

I started with private training sessions with Kelly for my "stranger danger" dog. She helped him (and me) in one session more than another trainer could in 8 at-home sessions. From there, I started signing up for classes for all my dogs. I have had 4 dogs do training classes with 4 on the Floor, and today I tried out the new Pawspot option with one of my dogs and LOVED that, too! I have tried "balanced" training in the past, before I knew how important it is to focus on relationship-building with your dog. I love showing my dogs what we want them to do and learning from them what they love the most. I don't want to force them to do anything, and I never want them to be scared, especially of me. By building that trust and staying away from fear and corrections, the results have been incredible! No one is afraid, everyone has fun, and our confidence has grown so much for me and my pups! I chose Kelly and her team because I know how committed they are to helping dogs and their humans build that loving and trusting bond, respecting "growly" dogs and understanding their special needs, promoting and helping rescue dogs, and going out into the community to educate and promote reinforcement training with no fear, no prongs, no shock... all fun! :)

I adopted my rescue dog 4 years ago, during COVID. He was afraid of everything- Kelly has been a terrific trainer, patient & kind, leading us through many challenges! When he escaped and was gone for 4 days & nights, she & others on her team were right there with me!!! Ollie was found safe, & we will be forever grateful for their help!! 🥰 We have done extensive training through 4 on the Floor & he loves each class (especially KELLY). Kelly is a wonderful resource- she cares about each dog & human. Ollie just had 4-on-the-floor home dog sitting which went well!💕 We happily recommend Kelly and her great classes!! 😊🐾

We have known Kelly for a long time and a couple of years ago she helped us rehabilitate our male Shiba Inu who had developed dog reactivity after being bitten. She showed him patience and empathy and after only one session, our boy who at this point was mistrusting every new person, was happy to sit by Kelly and take treats from her. Her approach to positive reinforcement training, giving owners the tools and knowledge to continue working with their dogs has not only improved our dog’s life but many other dogs we have recommended to 4onthefloor!
