Zrodfx K9 Dog Training

TJ trained my four dogs, two pit bulls 4 years old and two frenchies 2years old. They all have different personalities , boy pitty was so anxious, not good with other dogs, scared of thunder and TJ spent hours with him during thunder storms and got him comfortable with other animals, not just dogs. My sweet boy is so perfect, able to self soothe and make good choices I can take him anywhere!! Girl pitty was stubborn and lazy, and totally opposite of boy pitty, TJ was able to clean up her lazy attitude and get her motivated! I had one naughty frenchie who thought he ruled the roost, and now he is the most disciplined of them all, so obedient and amazing!! The other frenchie was stubborn, couldn’t cut his nails without a full on attack, the first time back at the groomer the first thing she said was “I am so impressed, they were good before but wow, I would like to know the technique the trainer used because I cut his nails without any issues” I am from out of state and I got constant updates, text, video, email from TJ. Any time I reached out I got same day responses, not to mention the reintegration time with the dogs, hands on training for me and my family and all the equipment to continue training. To top it off hand made collars and leashes too!!! Worth the time, absolutely worth the investment to be confident taking my dogs anywhere! I have the perfect pack and TJ taught me how to be the pack leader, and give my dogs the best life possible!! Thank you TJ !!

We have a crazy energy, high anxiety, 3-year old rescue, Luna, who is fearful of all things. TJ has been a blessing. He has taught us how to overcome her quirks and work with her to overcome her fears and anxiety. Through persistence and love, Luna has overcome many things. We are so thankful for everything TJ has done for Luna, and they have developed a wonderful bond, something that does not readily happen with Luna and just anyone. People continually comment what a "night and day difference" working with TJ has had on Luna, and we are so excited to continue to see what she is able to achieve next! Thank you, TJ!

1 / 1 In February, my dad passed away and I had to make a tough decision, take on his 3-year-old Mastiff mix (Smoky). The dog needed training and direction after three years of no structure, so I decided to send him to the 4-week training program. TJ was incredible the whole time, providing updates, videos, instructions, and moral support. Not only did TJ help Smoky with the difficult transition after losing his person he helped me just as much. TJ is unmatched and I cannot imagine a person you can trust more with your dog’s wellbeing and safety. Thank you TJ, for helping both Smoky and myself make it through this challenging time. TLDR: I could not recommend TJ and zrodfx K9 enough. I waited a month after training to post a review so that I had time to really evaluate the differences in my sweet guy and I can assure you that the things I learn about him just keep getting better. His obedience is rock solid, his behavior around other dogs has improved as a result, and he is genuinely excited to train and learn new things. TJ has also answered my endless questions post-training and is truly invested in Gideon's future, making him a training partner for life. If you want a dog who not only listens to you but is excited to be doing it, send him to TJ. I sought out training for my 3.5 year old Mini American Shepherd after a year and a half of trying to manage what I perceived to be anxiety and reactivity. I have been training Gideon since he was 8 weeks old and have done a lot of obedience training, but he still developed his own issues over time. I tried taking him to another trainer a year ago who charged me $400 for an hour of forcing Gideon into a dog park, slapping an e-collar on him, and then over-correcting him for reacting, making him afraid of the e-collar. The main point of sending him to a board and train was for his own quality of life--all I want is for him to be happy and healthy (and live forever). Enter TJ and zrodfx K9. When TJ says that he is a behaviorist at heart, he means it. Within a day, he was able to diagnose the cause of Gideon's behaviors. He taught me that what I perceived to be anxiety was just drive that needed an outlet, what I perceived to be reactivity was him having boundaries, and that Gideon is truly happiest when he is using his brain and has a job to do. TJ also validated my efforts in training Gideon and recognized all of the work we've done, but then showed me through videos the methods that work best for Gideon. He doesn't take a one size fits all approach and truly does train the dog in front of him. I now know that although Gideon enjoys running long distances with me for exercise, he gets even more fulfillment from short training sessions and using his brain. I'm loving all of the new things we're working on and we constantly get compliments on walks because of how focused he is on me. I can also clearly see how consistent obedience training has made him more confident in my ability to handle his environment and less likely to react. Whereas previously Gideon would snap and snarl at any dog who got in his face, he now trusts me enough to come back to me instead of reacting. Although TJ explained to me that he's not going to like every dog (nor does he have to), I have seen marked improvement in the way he interacts with dogs and how he handles a dog that he doesn't like. On a recent backpacking trip, he spent the entire time off leash, had at least a dozen greetings with other dogs, and didn't react to a single dog--including a dog who reacted to him and barked in his face. I think there are so many people who would have let Gideon go the rest of his life without more training because at the end of the day, he was happy, had decent obedience, and his problems were manageable--not to mention he was already 3. If you're on the fence about investing in training for similar reasons, I cannot emphasize enough that it is so worth it to send them to TJ for a month. I have learned more than I could have imagined about my little dude and our relationship is stronger than ever.
