Thank you for confirming I was on the right track in trying to handle Sparky's fear of dogs. I appreciate your Insight and hope I can have a playdate for her at some future date. You mentioned zigzagging and I guess that's what we do each day out in the field across from us. She goes wherever she wants I have a very long leash and she just leads me all over the place for about 40 minutes and I just asked her where do you want to go and she just goes it seems to work really good for her. We had such a wonderful experience at this puppy school!! We took 2 classes, my Boston Terrier, Melissa absolutely loved it at Zoomies!! She felt safe, confident, and learned so much during her time there. She even had a hard time saying goodbye whenever class was over, which really says everything. Coco and Nichole are incredibly engaged and attentive with all the pups, not just going through the motions. You can tell they genuinely care and are tuned in to each dog’s needs and personalities. As a first-time dog owner, I also really appreciated how encouraging they were toward me. They took the time to reassure me that we were on the right track with our training, which meant more than they probably realized. There was one situation where my dog slipped out (read: escaped) and unexpectedly rushed another dog, it could've gone badly, but Nichole (the owner) handled it calmly, confidently, and professionally. Nichole's quick, composed response made me feel even more certain that Melissa was in the right hands. On top of all that, it feels really good supporting a small, woman-owned business that clearly puts so much care, intention, and expertise into what they do. I’m so grateful for the positive foundation Zoomies helped us build and would highly recommend this training school to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and thoughtful training environment for dogs (and their humans.)
