Not just obedience , the kind of real-world calm that lets you take your dog anywhere. Cafes, travel, work, crowds. Do you have any virtual dog training options?
Not all of our dog training services have virtual options, but private dog training can be done remotely. We offer 30min private training sessions via live video chat if you can't come see us in Overland Park.

I have an older dog. Can they still do agility training?
Yes! We encourage older dogs to participate in dog agility training as long as they are healthy and active. We do not recommend agility classes for elderly dogs that may have arthritis, joint problems, or balance issues. Please check with a local vet in Kansas City if you’re not sure.

Do you offer therapy dog training?
Yes, we offer therapy dog training classes! Our six-week therapy dog program is open to all dogs who have passed their Canine Good Citizen Test or the equivalent.

The Zoom Room is such a healthy, positive outlet for her energy! When I say “we’re going to the puppy place” she knows exactly what’s up. She gets so excited and happy! After every session, she always comes home “happy tired”.

When we adopted our puppy, Rue, she was very shy around people and terrified in social situations. Given that she was going to be a big dog, we knew we would need to get help with training. I am so thankful we happened to come across the team at the Overland Park Zoom Room. We originally only planned to do puppy obedience, but we were so impressed that we have now done puppy playgroups, Advanced Obedience classes, a special Shy Dog course, Agility classes, loose-leash walking, and more! Rue's confidence has skyrocketed. The playgroups are monitored closely, and it's a safe environment for puppies to learn how to play well with others. All classes use positive reinforcement, which is so important for sensitive pups. The trainers are not just knowledgeable, but also care deeply about the dogs they train, and the owners as well! During puppy class they helped desensitize things like being groomed/touched, stepping on a vet scale, etc. They have visual barriers to help your dog focus if they're reacting to another dog, and even in group classes are careful to give specialized tips to help you succeed. They get to know you and your dog's needs, and are always willing to help accommodate. I will never forget how patient they were (and still are) with Rue when she was trying to build her confidence around people. It's one of the many things that's kept us coming back over the past 2+ years. The professionalism, expertise, and compassion of the team at OP Zoom Room is unmatched. Thanks to them we have a much happier, balanced, and well-behaved dog. Time and money well-spent!

We also learned some exercises to practice with her when encountering stressful situations. We were able to complete the adoption process and our foster dog is now a happy family dog! We are so appreciative of the help we received from Zoom Room and highly recommend.
