Zoom Room Dog Training

Maverick is four weeks into his training journey with Zoom Room Winter Park, and he is already a very appreciably different dog! We have learned a lot of skills that have helped significantly to improve his basic obedience & patience. Before, he was a rather difficult dog to walk, given his natural instinct to pull. He is now very easy to walk! I would recommend purchasing the harness and leash that they sell. It made a huge difference for us. Today, he graduated basic obedience and will soon begin the advanced obedience and agility courses. I would highly recommend their services to anyone who wants to improve their relationship with their dog!

Extremely disappointed. I purchased a training package specifically because the Longwood location was convenient and offered the classes I wanted. Shortly after signing up, it appears those classes are being removed and the closest option is now Winter Park. Had I known this before purchasing, I likely would not have signed up. Customers should have been informed of such a major change before being sold packages.

I really wanted to love this place. I purchased the 5-class package (which came with a bonus class), and the trainers themselves were kind, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to work with. Before signing up, I saw a review mentioning their cancellation policy and honestly thought, “What are the chances I’d ever run into that problem?” Unfortunately, I did. The classes have to be used within a relatively short period, and in that time my dog had multiple medical emergencies. In June, he had to be treated after swallowing foreign objects, and in July I had to rush him to the emergency vet again because of repeated vomiting and diarrhea. There was no way I was going to bring a sick dog around other dogs, and there was no way I could leave him alone during an emergency. I had already used my one courtesy cancellation, so to avoid losing my remaining credit, I booked a 45-minute private lesson. Ironically, that ended up being the very day I had to take my dog to the emergency hospital. I contacted Zoom and offered to provide documentation showing I was literally at the ER during the scheduled lesson. I still have the records, including the visit time. Despite that, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had already used my one allowed exception. No offer to reschedule, no credit, no flexibility—just a complete refusal to consider the circumstances. Policies are important, but so is compassion. Emergencies happen. When a customer can provide legitimate documentation showing they were dealing with a true emergency, I think there should be some discretion instead of a rigid, one-size-fits-all policy. It’s incredibly disappointing because the trainers were great, but the way this situation was handled left me feeling like the policy mattered more than the customer. I ended up losing about $120 despite having proof that I was in an emergency situation. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I won’t be returning.

I’ve been brining Eve (Chihuahua/Morkie mix) to Zoom Room for one-on-one training. If you’ve ever had a Chihuahua or Yorkie, you’re probably aware of the delight they are but the challenges to training them. We’ve been working with Isabella and she’s amazing. Isabella has thought outside the box to keep Eve focused and to make learning fun for her. Eve loves her and looks forward to her training sessions.
