Zion Kennels - Professional Retriever Training for Waterfowl and AKC Field Trials and Hunt Tests

Having a Great Dane I don't feel like Zion Kennels is a place for such a sensitive and timid dog. With that said we tried Zion for a couple of days and just didn't feel comfortable leaving our 1 year old Dane there. For a hunting dog I believe Zion would work out great. I'm the type of animal owner that allows my dog in bed to cuddle and the guilt of leaving him here knowing he would be sleeping outside was too much. We picked our boy up two days later and he was so excited to see us. Being outside in the heat and the change of environment was maybe too much for this pup. Once we got our big boy home he was just exhausted from being outside. He slept for hours, drank so much water and just slept like he was so appreciative to be home. We don't know the schedule for training or the process at Zion but after two days of being there our boy did do a bit better on a leash once he came back home. I know all breeds are different and for a working dog Zion could be amazing but for spoiled bratty dogs like ours.... not so much so no need to stress out those boushy four legged babies.
