FirstBarkZach is a fantastic dog trainer who goes above and beyond to make sure that the training plan is flexible and tailored to the individual dog. Zach does a wonderful job of working with the owner as well as the dog to make sure that the training plan succeeds. I cannot recommend him enough.

Our dog was so reactive that I couldn’t walk her after sunrise. She pulled me over more than once when reacting to another dog. Several of my neighbors were scared of her, and some asked us to tell them before we walked her. I spoke with a few trainers, and most said they couldn’t help us or that she’d have to be medicated. The trainers who said they might be able to work with her seemed too aggressive. Then we met Zack. Zack took time to evaluate our dog and talk through his training techniques and tools. I’d heard horror stories about Board & Train programs, so I was hesitant at first. Zack understood why I was so nervous. He was completely transparent about how he works, offered a virtual tour of his home-based setup, and patiently answered my MANY questions (some more than once) without ever showing frustration. His calm, professional approach gave me the reassurance I needed to trust him with our dog. Zack sent regular video and picture updates so we could see our girl learning and having fun. I cried the first time he sent a video of her calmly meeting other dogs. I never thought that would be possible. We had 3 in-person training sessions during the 3 ½ weeks our dog was with Zack’s Pack. Seeing her interact with Zack confirmed that she was being treated well and we made the right decision. Our dog is home, I can walk her during the day, and our neighbors aren’t scared of her anymore. Zack continues to work with us and make sure we know how to continue her training at home. This experience was well worth the time and money. I would absolutely do it again, but thankfully I don’t have to!

I cannot recommend Zack enough- he is a miracle worker!! We have three young children and although I know very common I felt my dog Sadie becoming overstimulating to me. I would feel guilty with how frustrated I became with her, as she was our first baby before we had kids. We wouldn't take her on walks with the family due to her misbehaving and her quality of life suffered. I realized I was overstimulated because she was not trained. We found Zack and we signed her up for the intensive program where he took her for a few weeks and it is an entirely different experience and she is an entirely different dog. She walks well and doesn't lunge at dogs/bikes/cats/etc., she doesn't jump on guests when they enter the house, and overall listens to any command she was taught. Due to Zack's training program we finally have our dog back and bring her EVERYWHERE (and we forget she is there because of how good she is). Not only are we happier with our dog, but her quality of life is so much better and we can provide the best life for her possible with all the walks and family time. Zack really loves dogs and his job and it shows- he is so knowledgable and has so much patience. We are forever grateful and would recommend him to anyone!!! Thank you, Zack!
