Yuruani Olguin is the founder of Yuruani Olguin Dog Training, Inc. She has worked extensively with clients throughout New York City, helping build relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
Yuruani is CPDT-KA certified and her training is based on force-free techniques, taking into account all aspects of each individual dog’s situation, including breed, background, temperament and, very importantly, household environment.
Yuruani is also a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer (CSAT). She specializes in working with clients whose dogs suffer from separation anxiety through a humane systematic desensitization protocol. Her goal is to help dogs and their humans live a happy and healthy life together.

Yuri was the best! We worked with her to train our 9 month old Maltese puppy Lily. We were amazed at how much Lily learned in one session. Yuri was patient, flexible, and firm. She skillfully managed the dynamics of my family of four in addition to Lily. In between sessions she made herself available for questions--her response was always quick and thorough. Yuri demonstrated training techniques and watched as each member of our family practiced them. She explained the theory behind training methods and answered all of our questions. Lily loved her and got so excited when she would arrive for training sessions. After our 4 training sessions Lily had a good set of skills and we had a better understanding about how to help Lily learn in a fun, safe way. We have would highly recommend Yuri and look forward to working with her again.

We worked with Yuri to train our 5 mo. old puppy and had a wonderful experience with her. She is patient, kind, accessible, and explains concepts in a way that is easy to understand. She leaves us with manageable training techniques and tips, all presented in a very professional manner. Our puppy is now excellent with her basic commands and getting better on the leash every day.

I highly recommend Yuruani. She has trained my dog on a few occasions and I have always been amazed by how quickly my dog learns with her. Yuri is patient and speaks with a kind voice and is very knowledgeable on effective and humane training methods.
