Yuruani Olguin Dog Training

Angela is a wonderful trainer. Our aim was to have our newly adopted rescue doodles be safe, attentive, and comfortable in both city and country environments as we spend time in both places. She has masterfully and compassionately handled our dogs, alternating between city and rural situations with ease. She guided us through the basics, building 'layers' of training, so that it feels (ultimately) simple to manage the dogs in the city (with leash anxiety/overstimulation, etc.). Our training course is only halfway through but we are well on our way to achieving our goal. Their comfort is our comfort--we are extremely satisfied and grateful!

We did a private training package and worked with Helen to train our puppy. I can not say enough good things about Helen, she came to each session prepared and tailored each session based on our needs and key training priorties. Beyond that, our puppy Penny absolutely adored her. The training sessions were the best part of our week. As first time dog owners, Helen helped my husband and I learn the tools we needed to welcome Penny into our home and establish obedient behavior. I highly recommend Yuruani Olguin dog training and working with Helen in particular.

My partner and I have been working with Angela for about a month and her deep and varied expertise along with her patience and kindness have been invaluable to us. The knowledge and tools we’ve gained from our sessions have made a huge difference in the relationship we have with our dog Basil. After 3 years with her, we were still struggling with anxiety and resource guarding that could sometimes lead to aggression towards us or other dogs. We now have a much better understanding of how to manage her anxiety in different contexts and how to improve it long-term. After only a few sessions, Basil was focused on us during walks even through stressors, leaving food on the ground with ease, and learning how and when to settle down. We can now communicate more clearly with her and understand her better when she is communicating with us. Basil gets so excited to do training now, and is always thrilled when Angela arrives for a session!

Yuruani Olguin Dog Training is phenomenal! I have been working with Angela for the past 6 weeks or more and my puppy not only loves her but has learned so much from training with her (as have I)! She is not only a great trainer, she is a friend! She is also so knowledgeable with respect to medical issues that arise that can impact the dog’s attention and training. Angela recommended I bring my puppy to the Vet due to an issue that arose with removing her harness and thought it could be ear related. She was exactly right as the puppy had a bad ear infection. Angela has been working with my puppy Reese since he was 8 weeks ago and we are so grateful. At his age (5 months), he is already so well trained and her efficient training tactics has made raising him from a young puppy so much more enjoyable. She is extremely patient with Reese and has given me tons of greats tips and tricks to be the best new puppy parent I could be. Forever thankful for Angela and the time she's spent with us!
