Y'Allred Acres Dog Training

As a veterinary professional, we have had so much positive feedback at our clinic that we keep Emily’s information for clients! I can’t say enough good things about Emily as both a dog trainer and pet sitter. Not only is she experienced in training unusual breeds, but is one of the only people in the world I’ve trusted with my reactive, nervous dog for in-home pet boarding (so much so that I have opted to take my pet with me if she isn’t available) Burger and Vista have both made incredible strides thanks to her classes!

Emily recently provided excellent care for my four dogs (ages 4 - 17.5). Each dog has her own personality & my senior dog requires additional attention & a lot of TLC. Upon meeting Emily, it was evident that her animal care skills are intuitive & she quickly developed a care plan for each dog - which included a daily exercise routine. Emily communicated with me during the week & I enjoyed a carefree vacation knowing my pack was warmly welcomed into Emily's home. During pickup, my dogs were happy to see me, but they were not suffering from the frenetic pent up energy often associated with a kennel stay, & once home, they quickly settled into our routine, as though we were never gone. I cannot say enough good things about Emily and Y'allred Acres. Normally, we take our dogs with us on vacation, but there’s one week each fall where we can't. We’ve always relied on a trusted pet sitter to take care of Otis and Ellie during this time. However, Ellie passed away last year, and our pet sitter had a vacation planned the same week we were scheduled to be away. At 14, Otis had never been boarded before, and we didn’t want to put him through the stress of an unfamiliar kennel or leave him alone for long stretches. Thank goodness Emily had an opening that week to take Otis in. I’ve known Emily since around 2012, as we trained dogs for various sports, so I knew I could trust her completely. Otis had an incredibly comfortable setup, both indoors and outdoors. He made some new friends, explored new areas for enrichment, and even served as the mascot for Flyball practice. By the end of the week, I genuinely wondered if he would want to leave—he looked so happy in the updates we received! Otis has some mobility and medical issues, but Emily handled them with ease. She went above and beyond, not just caring for Otis, but welcoming him as part of her family for the week. We were able to enjoy a wonderfully relaxing vacation knowing our boy was safe and so well cared for. Thank you Emily!
