Woofin' Good Time

My family got a Siberian husky pup in the beginning of September 2022. We are first time dog owners so we knew it would be an adventure. Within the first several weeks, she was doing ok, potty outside, wireless fence training; then she began to get toy aggressive, and very nippy in playing. I couldn’t get her to stop responding to me with little bites to my arms and legs whenever I tried to train her or do things around my house. She also began to attempt to hump me during playtime and counter surf. I couldn’t dog proof my whole house. And she refused to stay in her kennel without tearing something up or singing the song of her people for hours. I knew I needed to get her responding to obedience training sooner rather than later as she’s going to be a big husky. I contacted Sheril with Woofin’ Good Time for information. Since our husky already had bad behaviors we chose to have her board and train in hopes of setting the best foundation for us and Luna, our dog. After 4 weeks with Sheril and her trainers including her granddaughter, Luna is well on her way to being the best family dog we could ask for. She’s still wild sometimes, but Sheril stays in contact with me to ensure I am enforcing the correct behaviors. Luna went in as a wild, hard to handle puppy, & today after getting her home for the first time in 4 weeks, she is napping in her kennel. I’m not saying she’s completely trained, because she is a puppy and is still learning. But Sheril and her staff have given me the ability to learn what I need to do to keep our household running appropriately. Our 2 year old Aussie had become so anxious she was starting to show signs of aggression even in family members that she seen. She became petrified of loud sounds and strangers. She had never been able to ride in a car without throwing up. She could not go for a walk at all between the loud noises freaking her out and the pulling she did on the leash. We finally got to a point where we knew she needed help and we had no clue what to do with her. We called Woofin Good Time and got her in quickly with trainer, Blake. Sheril took her time talking with me on the phone about what they did, what to expect and told me Blake would not disappoint- and he didn’t. When we got her back, she could ride in a car so I can take her out with me. If she starts to get a little anxious in a new place, I now know how to help her calm down. She will now take treats from strangers though which is not something she would have done at all before. I can take her out for a walk without the anxiety crippling her and her pulling on the leash. I got the training I needed to reinforce what she learned there and if I have questions, I can still call and text for them to help through this process which is helpful since I’m at the very beginning of reinforcing the training here at home. I highly recommend this company! I wish we had taken her sooner!

Sheril and her staff at Woofin’ Good Time did an amazing job with my dog Maggie. Maggie attended the 4 weekend boarding program where she learned many new commands and manners. Maggie started the program at only 16 weeks old. She was barking, whining, biting, destroying items etc…. After getting her home from training, she showed tremendous improvement. It is now my job to work with her and continue her training. Thank you Sheril for showing me how to work my dog whether it be at her facility or in a public setting. At first I thought 4 weeks was going to last forever, but I was constantly sent updated videos and photos. Because of that the time Maggie was away did not seem like that long.
