Top shelf breeder! I am a lab man, my wife is a springer girl. Her prior springer passed 2 years ago and she was looking for the perfect puppy to replace her. That is what we found at Woodland Kennels. Geoffrey said he had a special puppy and I was skeptical , that is what a lot of breeders say. He was not exaggerating. We brought home an 11 week old liver and white female and she has been amazing . Our 7th hunting dog over last 40 years and by far the most intelligent, quickest learner. Brave, inquisitive, instinctual, cute. We could not be happier. Geoffrey and Dana run a great operation.

There is no better breeder and trainer in the business than Geoff English. We had the privilege of having Major, a male black lab in our family for 12 years. I get emotional just thinking about him. When he passed, we had the good fortune to welcome Baker, a female chocolate into our lives. These dogs are magnificent. Wonderful temperament, eager to learn and please with HIGH drive. They get better with age. As labs they are energetic and can be a handful in their early years. Field bred dogs, require exercise and some attention. They love to work, even if it's just looking for 'hidden' treasures in your yard. By year 3, they outgrow the ranginess that field breds typically exhibit and blossom into beautiful physical specimens. The athleticism of Woodland labs cannot be understated. Their combination of agility, strength, and drive are world class. They will wear out the kids playing at the beach/lake and still jump into your car with a smile on their face. If you hunt upland or on the water, they are on from before the sun rises and they look at you with sad eyes when it sets. Their size makes them easy to crate or haul into a boat or onto a dock. We have two wonderful Springer Spaniels from Woodland Kennels. We brought home Sage in 2020 and Finley in 2024. Since then we've been covered daily in snuggles and love. The laughter playing Frisbee and Ball every day never gets old. My husband has re-kindled his love of uplsnd bird hunting and the girls think he's the best Daddy ever, especially when he gets out their hunting bells. We've had other dogs, but NOTHING compares to a Woodland Kennels puppy. They are more than dogs... they are our girls.
