Positive Reinforcement & How We Train
Our training program is based on the effective and scientifically-proven positive reinforcement method. This means we use food, play, clickers, and life rewards (we like to say that positive isn’t permissive!), which is just as important as what we don’t use: side-effect-causing punishment methods.
We will help you reach your goals faster and more efficiently through our wide variety of group classes and private instruction with flexible scheduling! We train in-home, on-location and at our 12,000 sq ft dedicated facility.

We know this is a disappointing decision. We have given it very careful consideration, and because we are 100% committed to serving our community with the highest quality training, we are no longer accommodating board and train requests. We believe strongly in the efficacy of our private lessons, group classes, and tutoring program. We are happy to chat with you about our other programs to help you accomplish your goals. I brought our pandemic pitbull pup in for a series of classes for reactive dogs and I’m happy to say that Jonesy still remembers his commands, even when I go months without using them. He’s still reactive, but doesn’t get stuck and immediately looks at me. Thanks for laying a wonder-ful foundation for him.

Wonder Dogs is an absolute gem for the residents of Corvallis and surrounding cities. They offer a wide variety of classes with topics suitable for every life stage of the dog including obedience classes, puppy classes, single-topic elective classes, sport classes, and even canine musical freestyle! The S.T.A.R. classes are a place of support and education for owners of reactive dogs.
For some, the drive to Wonder Dogs might feel a little long. I say it's well worth the drive to have access to such varied training support and instruction. There's really something there for everyone and every dog!
Classes are held in a spacious building with plenty of room for students to work with their dog. The merchandise for sale is directly related to the class curriculum, making it easy to access the tools students use in class. Forgot to bring something? No worries, there's what you need available for purchase.
