Winter Kennels

We got our GPS from Cory a couple of months ago. She had previously trained him and when he turned two, his owner at the time decided he couldn’t keep him. We lucked out big time! Our GSP is well trained and extremely well mannered. He is great with kids and other dogs. We were impressed with her ranch set up. It’s a great layout for training dogs. She even put a few birds out so we could see our dog go to work. The way hunting dogs work is simply amazing. We have no hesitation taking our GPS back to Cory for a refresher training class, or any other dog for that matter, and would definitely get another dog from here.

Winter Kennel has trained or kenneled all three of my dogs. Wonderful owners and wonderful care of all of my dogs. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone for training or for kenneling. This is only one of two Kennels in the Austin area that I would trust with my dogs. It’s unfortunate that people without any dealings with this company have chosen to post reviews here. I certainly hope that Google handles these “reviews” appropriately.

This place has was a burtal abuser of Mable useing a eletric cattle prong on the head of a Vizsla in trainer stay away the folks that are trying to say good things ask your self how many dogs have to be abused before its not a good palce to have your dog trained. The answer is the same for a child it only takes one chile to be beaten balck and blue before its to may and you have an abuser,---Also the sherrif was called a to investigate to find the place was closed and pad locked --If they truly are good as you say why are they afraid of the legal process

VERY dissatisfied in the training our 11 month Vizsla, Maple, received. We went to visit her today after our 30 day waiting period and came to find out Maple had somehow escaped from her “kennel” (aka run down barn), was attacked by another dog, had bed sores, and she had many ticks. She’s extremely skinny and unhealthy looking. Needless to say, we immediately pulled her from training today and have her home with us. Her overall demeanor has changed and seems very unhappy. We expected 5-star service for our pup and received the complete opposite and now our healthy dog is a frail, sickly looking animal. I would NOT recommend Winter Kennels after seeing what they did to Maple. We’re taking her to the vet now to ensure she’s healthy and safe...
