Wings & Whistles Dog Training & Boarding Facility

We had our 15mo ESS there for bird training camp for 10 days (7/10-7/20) . When we went to pick him up he was sneezing during the demo of what he learned at camp and it surprised us that he had a little difficulty sniffing out the bird in the field. Since he was a little puppy he could sniff out a dog treat in a pile of leaves in seconds so a bird hopping around near the trainer should have been no problem. Once home magnum was sneezing often with some hacking/coughing and also felt warmer than usual so we brought him to our vet. Despite being up to date on his vaccinations the vet said he contracted “kennel cough” , had a 104.2 fever and congestion in his snout. He’s now on antibiotics and a cough suppressant. Our dog is a stay at home, no dog park, or day care visiting, heathy up to date with regular vet checks . When we dropped him off he was 100% healthy. My husband left a vmail for the owners letting them know Magnum came home with Kennel cough and never received a call back. I doubt our dog is the only one there who contracted this and once it was noticed at their facility they had a responsibility to let dog owners know there was an infected dog there. We would have gone to get Magnum and probably respected this company for their decisive action. Glad others had good experiences w this company. We definitely did not.
