Wing & Shot LLC

2023. Sasha stayed with Wing & Shot for six months at the ago of 7 months old for obedience & bird training. It was very obvious to me that Fred was experienced and ran the kennel in an organized manner. I always felt our dog was being treated well and was safe. Her obedience training has been beneficial since returning home. She's been home for two months now and with warmer weather I'm planning on working with birds soon - will follow up with a bird review in a couple of months (I'm confident that the review for bird hunting will be outstanding). I highly recommend Fred & his team for dog training & care when away from home. Thanks Fred! 4/18/2025 (follow up review) Initially, I was unable to continue Sash's training/hunting due to unforeseen work commitments. So after waiting one year, I started hunting with her and it was impressive. Despite the significant delay in her training she has picked up like she never had any lapse. After a few hunts she was taking off like a rocket. Recently, I was at Rolling Hills Hunting Preserve and the trainers there were very impressed how well she held point. I'm so proud of her, she has turned out to be a great friend and hunting dog. It's obvious that Sash received great training at Wing & Shot. I have 100% confidence in Fred and his team and it's nice to have a place I trust when needed.

If you love your pet, don't take them to any of the facilities associated with Wing and Shot, Maple Lane Kennels, or Ugly Dog Daycare and Training. We left our Rottweiler at Maple Lane Kennels for a week and when we picked him up he couldn't even walk. We had to carry him to the car. He was covered in feces and his eyes were milky. We had to take him to an emergency vet and he died the very next day. Maple Lane Kennels (which has since changed its name to avoid all the reviews of other people whose dogs have gotten ill at their facility) didn't give my dog any of his medication the entire time he was there. He needed a daily steroid pill because he had Addison's Disease. He was perfectly healthy when we dropped him off and could barely breathe or hold his head up when we picked him up. I can't imagine how he suffered there. One of my biggest regrets is letting him stay at this Kennel. Please don't make the same mistake.
