What age should I start training?
We recommend starting some sort of training as soon as your get your dog in order to promote good habits, a healthy relationship, and decrease likelihood of learning things we dont want! Puppies can start lessons as soon as 8 weeks old, and our Puppy board and train starts as young as 12 weeks! Older dog's benefit from training just as much! The oldest we have trained is 13 years old

I started private lessons with my dog, Pippa, this past summer after 2 years of living with and compensating for her reactive behaviors. As a stray rescued off the street, I had difficulty trusting how to train her as an adult dog and feel safe and comfortable around other dogs and in public spaces. WAH helped us so much! We are able to go anywhere there are other dogs and people (and even cats and squirrels) while staying focused and in control of our reactions. Yes, I’m talking about myself too! I appreciate the WAH team of talented and kind trainers for changing our lives for the better!
Alyssa did an excellent job training both our dog and us! She gave us the confidence needed for a great relationship with our pet. We plan to continue with additional training and we look forward to the meet-ups. Thank you!
Mykelti was great to work with! She was patient and flexible with our meet-up locations, dates, and times. After 4 sessions, my pup is much less anxious and we've expanded her comfort zone in public places in ways I couldn't have imagined. I highly recommend Wild At Heart!
Aubrie was excellent with our Charlie (and, mostly, us!). She was patient, kind and caring. Charlie learned so much and his progress is still continuing. His time with WAHC was worth every cent; he’s such a bigger part of our family with his modified manners!
