We work with you and your dog to discourage bad behavior in your dog including typical behaviors like chewing, digging, jumping up, begging, and not listening. We also work with dogs that show signs of aggression towards other dogs or strangers, possessive behaviors (food and toys), fear and separation anxiety, hyperactivity, and many other behaviors. We will meet with you and your dog to review your challenges and will recommend the proper training needed to meet your goals.

Our early puppy classes are a fun and educational time for you and your puppy. Our class topics include thorough and varied socialization*, learning your rules, learning their place in the pack hierarchy of this new mixed species pack, successful housebreaking, learning bite inhibition and learning how to walk on a leash and go into a crate on command are the priority objectives. Laying this foundation properly has a major impact on the life and behavior of a dog as they get older.

Ruth was thorough and patient during both puppy and obedience training.
We took in a rescue puppy at 10 months old, no socialization and hadn't been housebroken. Ruth saved our sanity. She is caring, knowledgeable, educated and truly cares about the relationship between the human and the dog.

We have completed several training courses with Ruth and our pup. The puppy course was very informative. My daughter and I learned alot about socializing McCartney and also how introduce him to new things, sounds and experiences. Next we completed the walk doctor program. Before the class McCartney would pull and dart in front of me nearly causing me to trip. After working with Ruth, McCartney understands what heel is and is a pleasure to walk. Lastly, we completed a customized obedience class. There were a few commands we didn't know how to teach him and a couple of behaviors we wanted to eliminate. Ruth customized an obedience class to help us with the commands we needed and also how to eliminate the demand barking and excessive whining. I would recommend Ruth for all training needs. I know that if needed, I can depend on Ruth's help with my pup.
We enjoyed the puppy class. It was a great opportunity to expose our puppy to other dogs and objects she wouldn’t have seen otherwise- even a cat! The class was exactly what I wanted to help us socialize her. Ruth was very helpful and answered any questions or concerns I had.
