Whole Dog Institute

We absolutely loved our experience with Whole Dog Institute training. Our puppy had been through a puppy obedience class elsewhere but was still highly excitable and distracted in walks, pulled on her leash, and was still nipping at hands when she played or met someone new. At Whole Dog, we spent our first class in orientation, learning about the theory and methods we would use. We then met weekly in person in a fenced yard to work on training. We were also provided with videos of the things we had learned so we could practice at home. Our trainer was available between classes to answer questions and was extremely knowledgeable. Our dog is still happy and playful, but now she also listens, greets well, and walks on a loose leash. Highly recommend this place for rambunctious pups!

We have been able to have a trainer come out to our home and work with 3 of us who adopted sisters from the same litter! Talk about a challenge! Irina has been so great! Very patient with the playfulness the 3 sisters show and yet also really able to get good stuff done each time! Her lessons feel achievable and clear! I also love that she sends a followup email to remind uswhat we worked on so we can practice!

We did Reactive Dog Training with Liz and Tina. I can not say enough about the transformation our dog has gone through after these classes. It has been the best form of training we have ever done for our highly anxious dog. Liz and Tina are very clear and to the point about what we need to do to help our dogs. I learned so much and feel much more comfortable taking my dog out for a hike. Thank you both!

We have been very happy with our experience. We found WDI on Google and contacted them based on Google reviews. We needed a behaviorist to help us sort out some behavioral issues we encountered in the first month of adopting a young adult dog from a rescue. Liz spent an hour and a half with us, covering a lot of different behavior-related topics and demonstrated training techniques to work on with our dog. It was well worth the money because she also told us we could enroll in an obedience course with WDI, which we are currently completing and have been very satisfied with. Highly recommend either obedience courses with Tina and/or one-on-one behavioral assessment with Liz.
