About Wheatland Dog Center
Wheatland Dog Center in Derby, KS is a small, specialized dog training and boarding facility on a 20 acre farm that focuses on sending your dog home happier and healthier than when they arrived. The Dream Dog Program is customized for each dog to build a foundation of obedience and address unwanted behaviors. Our Puppy Raising program helps new puppies start on the path to becoming well-behaved, happy dogs, with two or more weeks of being raised and trained in our home. Daily activities and individualized attention from our experienced professional trainer ensures dogs have their emotional and physical needs met with low stress and anxiety levels. We purchased a chocolate pup from Wheatland a year ago and the experience couldn’t have been any better. Kayla has this magic about her to sort the pups to pair them with their new families. Reminded me of a scene in Harry Potter with the sorting hat and how they go to their new teams. She was spot on for what we needed a lovable puppy that would be good with kids. I have two small kids and that was one of the items that was most important to us. We were also lucky enough to live close for a drive to Kansas to acquire our new puppy and my oldest is still taking about Rain which is our puppies mom. Can’t say enough good things about how they are raised and how easy it was to potty training our new fuzzy friend. You can tell a bunch of care and love is what Wheatland Dog Center is about. If you are in the market for a new pup and live near Kansas you can’t go wrong with getting one here.

Very pleased with Wheatland Dog Center! We’ve used them 3 times in the last year to board our female Australian Shepherd (who has some anxiety!). Kayla is communicative and reasonably priced. Love all the outdoor space the dogs have to play! Highly recommend.
We had a great experience with Kayla. She is extremely kind and capable, so we felt safe leaving our dog baby with her a month for training. Our dog will always be sort of spazzy, but at least now she can manage basic manners!
