After numerous unsuccessful attempts at dog training, we were on the verge of resigning ourselves to our dogs' behavioral issues. However, our perseverance paid off when we discovered Anthony and What-A-Canine. Our primary concern was leash reactivity, but Anthony's training proved to be transformative, addressing the issue in a single session. Our dogs now demonstrate remarkable self-control by ignoring their triggers. We were able to progress to more advanced skills with our dogs, which has exceeded our expectations. We adopted a very troubled young Doberman who was highly medicated for anxiety, fear and a whole host of issues. We found Anthony through our son who manages a retail store and had the opportunity to see Anthony work with dogs firsthand. In only 4 private 1 hour sessions, our dog has undergone the most amazing transformation! Our last session was at the mall, and our dog not only learned to sit calmly under the noisy mall food court table, but also rode escalators up and down with ease. Had you told me that level of confidence and change in attitude would be possible in 4 hours, I would have placed a bet against it. Anthony really is dog whisperer. His training is effective and amazing. Remember, good isn't cheap and cheap isn't good. Highly recommend What a Canine, if you have any issues with your dog, Anthony can solve it.

Update over a year later: the formerly aggressive dog has exhibited zero aggression towards visitors or my son. Still can’t believe this was corrected in basically 10 minutes. He’s still a happy loving member of our family. (We won’t talk about the leash walking update 🫠😬 - but that’s not Anthony’s fault 😂 our solution was a nice big 1/4 acre yard and dog parks to be unleashed) Original review: Firstly, what a canine is a new business and I want to point out that I do not personally know Anthony, and met him for the first time when hiring him for a training session. I’ve received no incentives for posting this review. (In other words: it’s a real review) Background - the little white one is a stray we rescued recently that had very aggressive behavior towards our 11 year old son. I got attached to him and wanted to keep him but felt we were going to have to rehome him because of his negative behaviors. I found what a canine during a midnight desperate internet search and am so happy I did. The little black schnauzer is a wonderful dog with very good behavior but always struggled with walking on a leash and Anthony said he could help with that too! He came over and and we immediately got to work. He helped us understand why the dogs were doing what they were doing and taught us how to correct it. He worked with the whole family so we all have the tools and confidence to work on it ourselves. Surprisingly the aggressive behavior was handled in about 10 minutes and the leash walking took up most of the session. 😂 Well worth the money. He’s very responsive and professional.

My 3 year old German Shepherd Mix Mya, was having problems with dog aggression. Anytime that she saw a dog on our day to day walks she would lunge and bark. My wife and I decided to look into What A Canine. We signed up for the four session plan and after just 1 session we were seeing tremendous results. Now that we have completed our training plan I am able to walk Mya without any issues. Anthony provides all the information you will need for any of your dog training needs and has a great attitude about what he does. I can not recommend What A Canine enough.
