Westinn Kennels - K9 Bed n' Breakfast

My boyfriend and I have been using Westinn Kennels at the Dardenne Prairie location for over two years now and I can't believe I've not left a review before today. I can't speak highly enough about this location! Day one, we reached out to them about our extremely shy and fearful rescue, Mariah. We let them know she needed a long adjustment period and a lot of TLC and that we eventually wanted to board her as we had planned a vacation later that year. From that day forward, we visited over and over again just so that the kennel manager could sit on the floor with Mariah and feed her cheese while she tucked her tail and hid behind us. She met all the staff members and every person we met was incredible. They were all so kind and patient. Eventually we built up to leaving her for half a day, then a whole day, then boarded her. After two years, she might as well be a different dog when it comes to daycare. Even though she's still afraid of people, she is NEVER afraid at daycare. She's happy, carefree, and excited to go every single time. Every time she gets in the car she's excited because she assumes it's daycare - and when we arrive she nearly jumps out the window to get to the staff! All the staff know her by name and make it clear each and every time how much they care about her. I truly can't imagine trusting anyone else with her and I can't thank them enough for their hard work, love, and patience for my timid rescue. We recently also got a puppy and I truly can't wait for him to start his relationship with Westinn too. He'll be going for puppy play dates and eventually daycare when he's old enough.
