I can’t thank John, “Scooter” enough for the training our 6month old lab, Ryder received. He just completed his 4 week obedience and off leash training. I was kept up to date on his progress every week with photos and messages. I was able to visit Ryder each week and see his progress. I also received training on how to continue his work when he returned home. We have received many compliments on our walks in our neighborhood on how well behaved Ryder is. I highly recommend West Wind Retrievers for training! We will board Ryder there in the future as needed. You won’t be disappointed!

I first met Scooter while attending the USMC/DoD bomb dog handler’s course as a Marine. Scooter not only worked us in the states, but also in Helmand Province, Afghanistan to ensure our dogs were performing at the highest level. My current dog, Sue, came off a litter from West Wind’s and is in training with Scooter now. I’m extremely impressed with her progress and can’t wait to run her this hunting season. I can’t thank these folks enough for all they’ve done for me and Sue. I highly recommend West Wind Retrievers & Training; I know you won’t be disappointed!

There are not enough good things that I can say about John “Scooter” Kello and the incredible business that he has built from the ground up. I first met Scooter when I had my first Police K9 that I had purchased off of him in 2018. He helped me train with Cara and showed me everything that I needed to know. Cara was that one and a million dog and she was like that because of her training with Scooter. After we trained up, Scooter was always there for us whether I had a problem or a question about her training. He always went the extra mile and you are never just a dollar sign to him, he prides himself and his business in the quality of dogs that he puts out. I can never thank this man enough for what he has done for me and my family over the last several years. He now is currently training my current K9 Liberty and I am forever in his debit for doing this. I highly recommend West Wind Retrievers and Training. I have used just about every service they offer, from my dog Cooper’s initial obedience training, up to receiving his Junior Title through their hunting school, they have been awesome! I have boarded Cooper here several times when away and they treat him like family. They even take him out on their training trips just so he can run and stretch his legs! I will continue to take Cooper to them, he loves it!
