My 3-year-old shiba, Hachi, is a wonderful dog, but was having some behavioral issues with leash aggression and jumping up during greetings. I was referred to Scott and signed up for a 5 lesson package. I could not be more pleased. Scott has the perfect temperament and expertise for working with both the dog and owner to get them on a path for success. Scott explained what the root causes of the behaviors were from the dog's perspective, which allowed me to better understand why Hachi acted the way he did in certain circumstances. We then worked on basic training principles in the home, around my apartment complex, and at a popular walking trail in the area. After the first several lessons, I had the tools to effectively address and modify Hachi's behaviors that were causing problems. The last couple lessons were spent honing those principles and even working on tricks. I now can successfully pass dogs in any situation without Hachi lurching or barking - he now passes them neutrally, keeping his attention on me. Scott is dedicated, compassionate, animal-loving, but no-nonsense, which was the perfect balance for both me and Hachi. I am very grateful that I found Scott and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone with dog training needs!

I have been lucky enough to have Scott come and put on a couple workshops and help owners myself included be better handlers/owners.. He is an AMAZING trainer and truly knows what he is doing and has a great ability to read dogs.. His knowledge is valuable and he shares all he knows willingly in order for you and your dog to be the best you can be.. I cant wait to be able to train again with Scott the knowledge he shares is so valuable.
