Settling on a board and train option for our (then) 11 month old puppy, Bergen, was nerve wracking, to say the least. After talking to multiple different companies, I had a feeling that Dog Dynamics was the right choice for us. And I'm so happy to report that I was right! Bergen had a fabulous 3 week stay with Emily, who was an absolute magician with him and made huge progress in all of our goals for him. The follow up training sessions have been so beneficial in making sure that we're continuing the work and not losing any of fantastic progress Bergen has made, and Emily has continued to check in via text to make sure things are staying on track (they are! We feel well prepared now). Equally (or maybe even more!) important to the training for us was that it was clear that Bergen was well cared for, and that he had a fantastic time (as evidenced by how excited he was to see Emily when she returned for a follow up training visit). It's not easy sending your beloved family dog away for 3 weeks, but it was well worth it for us, and we're so happy to have found Dog Dynamics.

I had booked Kristin for four private sessions for my Rhodesian Ridgeback, zeppelin. I learned a lot during those sessions, but unfortunately, my busy life did not allow me to implement and be consistent with what I learned. So I decided to enroll him in board and train with her. He just got back a few days ago from being gone for three weeks. She gave me updates twice a week on his progress and gave me a little tips along the way of how to progress and what to and what not to do. As well as videos of him working on behavior and commands I was beyond pleased when he came back home. First of all, she spent about two hours with me going over how I should keep up his training and we practiced with him. I have to tell you that the last two days have been wonderful. I’ve had to change a lot of how I do things with him, but I was determined to follow through and carry on the work that she had already put in with him He has he listened to every single command and has been very obedient. So all of the information is in his brain - he just has to learn how to do it with me being the alpha. I’ve learned so much about Dog psychology as she has shared a lot of information with me. I highly recommend Kristin as either a personal dog trainer or for board and train, which is a three week stay

We've had a fantastic experience with multiple aspects of training with Dog Dynamics. We started by taking their puppy classes through the Orinda Community Center, then moved on to Basic Obedience and Intermediate Obedience, and did multiple private lessons with Avery. Following that, we used their board and train services with Emily. Our 9 month old puppy is now doing so well with her manners and obedience! Each person that we've interacted with on the Dog Dynamics team (Avery, Diana, Emily, and Bonnie) has been so knowledgeable about our dog's mindset and behavior, and we find that they use just the right mix of lots and lots of praise and treats with just a few necessary corrections to make the rules clear to the dog. They were all so positive and encouraging of us, even when we were fumbling and inconsistent. They focused on training the dog for our preferences, not for some rigid set of rules of "how it's supposed to be done." Our 9 month old golden retriever is getting ready to take her Canine Good Citizen test. We could not be more thrilled with Dog Dynamics!

We can’t speak more highly of our experience with Dog Dynamics’ board and train program. Emily transformed our excitable Bernedoodle into a manageable, well trained member of our family. After welcoming home our first baby, we knew improving our dog’s house manners would make our home more peaceful and balanced, but needed help getting there. Our puppy was full of energy, lovable, and super friendly but seemingly not very trainable when we first got her. I was not a first-time dog owner so dog training was not something new to me but I couldn't seem train our poodle/schnauzer pup. I decided to board our pup for three weeks with Sue of Dog Dynamics for obedience training. I received several updates by email, including short video recordings, during the three weeks she was boarded. I was amazed at what I saw in the videos. Fast forward three weeks, our dog came back completely transformed. We were told that we will need to continue training our pup to maintain what she was trained for while boarding with Sue. It was not an issue at all since she became so much more receptive to training. Our pup ultimately passed the canine good citizens test and much more! Even better, our pup adores Sue so we know she received a lot of love while being boarded with her. I have recommended Dog Dynamics to several of my neighbors who have similarly been very happy with the results. I highly recommend Dog Dynamics to anyone looking for help training their dogs. Sue and Bonnie are highly competent and also amazing individuals.
