Hey! I’m Bethany Johnson, calm dog enthusiast… I am the head trainer at Walking Dog Training. I train in my home located in the cutest little neighborhood called Audubon Park in Orlando, Florida. I work with dogs that are a bit bratty (pulling on the walk, reactive on leash, ignoring recall, jumping on people, etc.) and help them learn manners while guiding the owners along the way.

This woman’s go to “training method” is to throw an e collar on the dog. She advocates using an e collar for separation anxiety. Literally enough said. Ask ANY vet behaviorist or IAABC certified trainer and they would be absolutely appalled at the even suggestion of this. Please for the welfare of your dog, look elsewhere. Make sure your trainer is actually certified and if you have a behavioral issue, make sure you use someone who is IAABC certified. If your dog has separation anxiety use someone who is CSAT certified. Also, super sketchy she is getting so many 5 star reviews after posting such an egregious thing about using an e collar for SA. I'm not trying to bash anyone, but I want fellow dog owners to be aware of what is okay and what isn't. If you aren't sure, literally ask your vet. A decent (not even great, just decent) vet would NEVER be okay with using an e collar for SA. And ANY vet behaviorist would lose their mind at the mere idea. Just- do your research, and look for people with actual certifications.
Bethany’s ebooks for ecollar training have helped me tremendously. She’s knowledgeable and fair with her information and it’s a great starting point to educate yourself on training your dog!
