I am a Certified Dog Trainer and Fear Free Certified Professional. My passion is supporting clients with their training goals. It’s simple, I want to help others enjoy their dogs as much as I enjoy mine. I first got the dog training bug in 2001 with my puppy Echo. We started obedience training with a highly recommended trainer who used aversive techniques. Training this way was never comfortable for me, and I’m sure Echo didn’t enjoy it either.

Maria came to see me and my almost 4 months old golden retriever puppy for a 90min consultation. She asked about and issue or allergies before hand and was punctual to the agreed meeting time. While here she was extremely good with teaching both me and my puppy how to communicate to one another and addressed many issues and bumps we've had a long the way. It's been about a week and using the advice she provided, my pups nipping and biting is night and day from where it started!

Maria is FANTASITC!! My husband and I worked with Maria one on one for coaching in our home with our newly adopted dog. We went from no contact at all to our dog eating treats out of my husband's hand, which was a huge leap in progress. We recently had the pleasure of working with Maria to train our dog, Jane and the experience was outstanding. Maria came to our home every morning to help our newly acquired, 6 year old rescue overcome her anxiety and refusal to get into our car. (At 120 pounds Jane is too heavy for us to lift)
Maria is incredibly experienced, knowledgeable and patient. Jane would actually anticipate Maria’s arrival and sit at the front door every morning with a wagging tail waiting for Maria to come.
After several sessions, Maria had Jane hopping into the back seat of our car.
We can’t express our appreciation enough to Maria for her success in helping Jane overcome her fear.
Maria is truly a godsend to us and we highly recommend her for any dog training or dog behavior issues you may have.

My dog Cody, loves Maria ! I wanted a trainer that used positive reinforcement and she was perfect. I had done a lot of research before I decided on using a trainer as I was not sure exactly what I needed. Apparently what I needed was Maria. I heartily recommend her and her training techniques.
