Wags And Wisdom Dog Training

I recently had the pleasure of working with Shane to train my Doberman puppy, Banshee. Being my first time sending a dog to do board and train I was unsure of what to expect. Shane was fantastic he walked me through the process on the phone. Drop off day went smoothly, and I felt very comfortable leaving our sweet girl in his capable hands! I received lots of pictures and video clips of her during training sessions as well as her getting to run around and play with his dogs. Shane went above and beyond; he even helped me figure out what diet would help with her loose stools. He truly cares about the physical and emotional wellbeing of the dogs he works with. Banshee was 61/2 months when we sent her to Shane. We opted for the 3-week board and train. It was hard to be separated from her for that long but well worth it in the end. We have 4 kids at home and very hectic schedules. Having Shane give Banshee a strong obedience foundation for us to build upon has been life changing. Shane came to our home to drop her to us. He spent a solid 2 hrs answering my questions and giving me a thorough training session with her. By the time he left I was 100% sure I could effectively communicate a command, and she would listen. I was also very confident that I would be able to properly correct unwanted behaviors. I highly recommend Shane at Wags and Wisdom to anyone looking for a dog trainer. I know Banshee and I are looking forward to doing private lessons and learning even more!

Shane is an amazing trainer!! He’s very honest and caring…. We have a rescue Shepherd mix, that our kids were scared of, because she got somewhat aggressive when she had food-resource guarding. He explained the whole process with us, and we dropped her off with him. After 3 weeks, the kids and I went to pick her up. Shane taught us how to use the tools he gave us, and how to handle certain situations with her. She’s not a different dog (which, I’m SO glad!!); but he’s figured out how to get through to her, and she’s much more calm. She still has a LOT of energy, but she doesn’t feel as threatened when she’s eating and we’re walking around her. She’s also better with guests, and other dogs passing by. Shane understands dogs pretty welll, and is amazing!!

Shane has trained both of our German Shepards and we were very pleased with the results! They are now well behaved. During training Shane communicated with us daily using video and texts. It was great to see our dog's progress. I can also recommend Shane for private lessons. He helped us with a particular behavioral problem and it has worked out very well ever since. We have also boarded our dogs with Shane and Abby during our vacations over the past 3 years. Our dogs love to go to stay with them. We know we can trust Shane and Abby and that they are in good hands. We wouldn't have it any other way! I highly recommend them for training or boarding!!
