Calling Christine from WagNTails was the greatest decisions I’ve ever made in my entire life. When I first got my puppy at 8 weeks, she was cute, fun to play with, all the fun things you think of when you hear someone got a new puppy. But then reality sets in and you realize that owning a dog/puppy is a LOT of work. (A full time job in and of itself) Especially when they are like mine was and start to nip and bark, and bite, and leave bruises all over your legs because you’re not understanding what they want. About 2 months after getting my girl, these behaviors started showing up, and I was contemplating giving her back, that’s how bad she was. I’m thankfully not one to give up without trying, so I called Christine. I had already taught my dog all of the basic commands- those are easy especially when you have a smart dog. But what I didn’t know, and what most people don’t know, is how to actually build a Strong bond with your dog. It’s not just “do what I say, learn these commands, stop doing that, be good…” It’s understanding what your dog is trying to tell you and respecting them, to earn their trust and respect in return. Christine taught me how to understand my dog in a way I never thought possible. Three and a half years later, I still have my girl, she no longer bites me or pushes me around, we have the strongest bond I’ve ever had with a dog and we are learning more and more each day training together! Thank you so much Christine from the bottom of my heart for teaching me how to live peacefully and beautifully with my Ellie girl <3
